Moisture diffusion modeling – A critical review
Microelectronics Reliability, 2016Abstract Techniques for enforcing the continuity of solute field in heterogeneous solvent under the conditions of steady temperature-humidity, steady temperature but dynamic humidity, and dynamic temperature are reviewed. The continuity of the wetness technique is justified on the principle of equality of chemical potential.

Moisture Diffusivity Data Compilation in Foodstuffs
Drying Technology, 1996ABSTRACT A review of the recently reported moisture diffusivity experimental data in food materials is presented in this work. Values are classified and analysed statistically to reveal the influences of temperature and moisture content. Empirical models relating moisture diffusivity with the above variables, along with relevant graphs for various ...

Moisture diffusion in composite sandwich structures
Composites Part A: Applied Science and Manufacturing, 2008Abstract The mechanical properties of polymer core materials in sandwich structures are often degraded by moisture that is absorbed during storage. To date, there is no reliable model to predict the amount of moisture that is present in these sandwich core materials.

Heat Conduction and Moisture Diffusion Theories
2019The design of high performance micro/macro-scale composite structures working at high temperature and humidity environmental conditions needs an accurate heat and moisture transfer analysis through the solid structure.

Moisture diffusivity in pasta during drying
Journal of Food Engineering, 1992Abstract The purpose of this work is to evaluate moisture transfer during the drying of extruded durum semolina. Effective diffusivities of pasta were determined using a stepwise drying procedure at temperatures of 40–85°C and for moisture contents of 1·5–26% db. Diffusivities ranged from 1·5 × 10−12 to 48 × 10−12 m2/s.

Moisture Diffusion in Thermal Insulating Materials
1991The moisture behaviour of building materials, especially the kinetics of wetting and drying, is very important because it can influence the hygrothermal performance of the building envelope and the internal comfort. The mathematical model of heat and mass transfer, in porous media, proposed by LUIKOV — PHILIP and DE VRIES shows that ...

The Measurement of Soil Moisture Diffusivity
Soil Science Society of America Journal, 1956Abstract The solution of the differential equation describing the flow of moisture in unsaturated porous media is difficult because of the dependence of the permeability on moisture content. In the case of horizontal flow this equation can be written in a form similar to the non‐linear diffusion equation.

Coupled diffusion of temperature and moisture
1986The interdependence of heat and moisture in solids has been discussed in [1–3]. It was demonstrated [3] that the effective diffusion constants measured in typical experiments [4] are equal to the diffusion coefficients of the material only in the case of very weak coupling.
