Enhancement of shelf life of Coriandrum sativum leaves using vacuum drying
A vacuum drying process was employed to deal with the moisture removal, Vitamin C content and total dietary fiber from coriander leaves (dhania). Box–Behnken design (BBD) and response surface methodology (RSM) were applied to evaluate and optimize the ...

We show that emergence of castration‐resistant prostate (CRPC) is associated with significant upregulation of cyclins that positively regulate cyclin‐dependent kinase 2 (CDK2) and concomitant downregulation of CDK4 cyclins. This renders CRPC cells dependent on the high activity of CDK2, and CDK2 inhibitors synergistically sensitize CRPC cells to both ...

Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

TisIBP8, a fungal‐derived hyperactive ice‐binding protein, helps Caenorhabditis elegans survive dehydration. It localizes near cell membranes, reduces cell damage, and helps maintain membrane structure during drying. These results suggest that ice‐binding proteins can protect cells from dehydration stress as well as freezing stress.

In silico and in vitro exploration of a tyrosinase for biocatalytic production of catechols
Tyrosinase from Ralstonia pseudosolanacearum is a promising biocatalyst for producing valuable catechols from monophenol substrates. This tyrosinase is uniquely suited to this due to its high monophenolase : diphenolase ratio. We combined in silico docking and in vivo kinetic characterisation of this tyrosinase with 11 industrially relevant monophenols,

Protocol for quantifying miRNA trafficking across the endosomal membrane
An in vitro protocol measures miRNA uptake into endosomes isolated from mammalian cell extracts, which are free of subcellular contaminants. Performed at 37 °C in the presence of ATP, it ensures the import of single‐stranded miRNA into the endosomal lumen.

Effect of Lignin Removal on Moisture Absorption of Wood
Abstract In the study, we carried out heartwood and sapwood of fast-growing Chinese fir as research objects, the lignin was removed by sodium chlorite method, then the changes of wood chemical composition were detected by Raman spectra, the moisture absorption changes of wood were studied by saturated salt solution method, and the H-H ...
