Titan's lakes chemical composition: sources of uncertainties and variability
Between 2004 and 2007 the instruments of the CASSINI spacecraft discovered hydrocarbon lakes in the polar regions of Titan. We have developed a lake-atmosphere equilibrium model allowing the determination of the chemical composition of these liquid areas.

A self‐sustaining solar photoelectrochemical cell (SS‐PEC) is developed to recover uranium from aqueous UO22+ with concurrent organic oxidation and electricity production. The monolithical photoanode directly captures electrons from organic compounds, leading to the oxidation of organic compounds and the decomposition of uranium‐organic complexes ...

Diffusion-reaction model for alkali-silica reaction in concrete [PDF]
A new diffusion-reaction model for the potentially deleterious Alkali-Silica Reaction (ASR) process in concrete is presented. The model involves three coupled diffusion processes, two in-goingand one out-goingfrom the aggregate viewpoint. Alkali (Na+ and

Quantifying Electron and Ion Transfers in Contact Electrification with Ionomers
The concurrent existence of both electron and ion transfers in solid‐ionomer contact electrification is reported. The ion transfer contributes significantly to the process of contact electrification, especially at high humidity, although only less than 2% of ions participate in the ion transfer, suggesting that there is room for further performance ...

Medium dependence of asphaltene agglomeration inhibitor efficiency
Applying chemical additives (molecule inhibitors or dispersants) is one of the common ways to control asphaltene agglomeration and precipitation. However, it is not clear why at some conditions the synthetic flocculation inhibitors as well as resins not ...

Designing stable Ru nanoparticle catalyst remains a critical challenge in electrochemical applications. Here, a strategy is presented to stabilize Ru catalysts by leveraging Ce‐doped ZrO2 supports (ZrCeO2‐x), which enhance catalyst durability and activity through electronic metal‐support interactions and stabilized oxygen vacancies.
