Towards molecular photochemionics

open access: yesInternational Journal of Photoenergy, 2004
In the last few years there has been a great interest in developing electronics at a molecular level (molecular electronics), e.g. to construct miniaturized electric circuits that would be much smaller than the corresponding micron-scale digital logic ...

Atomic and molecular beams: production and collimation

open access: yes, 2013
Atomic and molecular beams are employed in physics and chemistry experiments and, to a lesser extent, in the biological sciences. These beams enable atoms to be studied under collision-free conditions and allow the study of their interaction with other ...

Formation of Quasi‐Decoupling Interface on Li‐Metal Anodes in High Donor Electrolyte

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Li‐metal anode (LMA) is stabilized by introducing Li2Te2 as an electrolyte additive for Li‐metal batteries. Upon contact with Li, Li2Te2 spontaneously converts to Li2Te, which electronically isolates Li from dimethyl sulfoxide due to its large bandgap and minimal Bader charge transfer.

Coating Artificial Spider Silk Fiber with Magnetic FeCo: An Effective Strategy for Creating a Flexible Magneto‐Responsive Material

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An original method is presented for producing artificial spider silk fibers with magnetic and magnetomechanical responsiveness, which consists in coating them with a nanometer‐thick layer of FeCo alloy by sputtering deposition. The challenge of combining organic materials and inorganic magnetic nanostructures is addressed, thus taking a step forward ...

Commissioning and full realization of a collinear resonance ionization spectroscopy setup at Beijing Radioactive Ion-beam Facility

open access: yesPhysical Review Research
A PLASEN (Precision LAser Spectroscopy for Exotic Nuclei) system, consisting of a compact radio-frequency quadrupole cooler buncher (RFQ-cb) and a collinear resonance ionization spectroscopy setup, has now been fully commissioned with radioactive ion ...

Weak C-H···O, C-H···F and C-H···p intermolecular hydrogen bonds and internal dynamics of molecular complexes by Fourier transform microwave spectroscopy

open access: yes, 2005
In this contribution, we show how rotational spectroscopy, combined with molecular beam techniques, can supply detailed information on the chemical features of Weak Hydrogen Bond (WHB), and provide insight on the internal dynamics of the units ...

Solution‐Processed Two‐Dimensional Indium Oxide on Sodium‐Embedded Alumina for Reconfigurable Optoelectronic Synaptic Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Wafer‐scale two‐dimensioanl In2Se3 oxidized into InOx on sodium‐embedded beta‐alumina enables multifunctional reconfigurable electronics. Sodium ions accumulate within distinct spatial distribution under drain‐controlle and gate‐controlled operation. Drain‐control operation gives controllability of ultraviolet‐driven optoelectronic synaptic conductance
