Molecular characterization of interleukin 12

Archives of Biochemistry and Biophysics, 1992
Interleukin 12 (IL-12), formerly known as cytotoxic lymphocyte maturation factor and natural killer cell stimulatory factor, is a cytokine secreted by a human B lymphoblastoid (NC-37) cell line when induced in culture with phorbol ester and calcium ionophore. This factor has been purified to homogeneity and shown to synergize with low concentrations of

Molecular Characterization of Peritoneal Mesotheliomas

Journal of Thoracic Oncology, 2022
Malignant peritoneal mesothelioma (MPeM) is clinically distinct and less studied than malignant pleural mesothelioma. We report the genomic and immunophenotypic features of a prospectively collected MPeM cohort.Next-generation sequencing (NGS) was performed on MPeM tumors. Genomic near-haploidization (GNH) was assessed.

Molecular Characterization of Pestiviruses

1996
Publisher Summary This chapter provides an overview of various aspects of pestiviruses, including diseases they cause and their molecular biology. General diseases caused by the pestiviruses include bovine viral diarrhea and mucosal disease, border disease, and classical swine fever.

Molecular characterization of human clathrin

Biochemistry, 1981
Clathrin extracted from coated vesicles at pH 8.0 sediments as a single boundary with 8.1S sedimentation constant (s020,w) of 8.1 +/- 0.1 S. Sedimentation equilibrium gave a molecular weight (Mr) of 610 000 +/- 30 000. The clathrin frictional ratio (pH 7.5) computed from s020,w and Mr is very large, i.e., 3.06 +/- 0.18.

Molecular characterization of endothelin receptors

Trends in Pharmacological Sciences, 1992
Following the first report on the identification of endothelin (ET), an increasing body of work has accumulated on this endothelium-derived 21-amino acid vasoconstrictor peptide. Subsequently, the existence of three distinct isoforms of ET, designated ET-1, ET-2 and ET-3, was predicted from the finding of three separate genes.

Molecular Characterization of Opioid Receptors

Annual Review of Pharmacology and Toxicology, 1990
Though opioid receptors are more difficult to purify and characterize than other cell surface receptors, significant progress has been made in the past several years. At least a dozen groups have now reported purification of opioid-binding proteins, either in a form that retains ligand-binding properties, or in a covalently bound form.

Molecular Characterization of Bladder Cancer

Current Urology Reports, 2018
Bladder cancer (BCa) management had remained unchanged for 20+ years with clinicians, in contrast to many other cancer types, rarely relying on molecular characteristics to guide management. The past 5 years have yielded significant advances in our knowledge of the molecular basis of BCa and concurrent advances in systemic therapy.

Molecular Characterization of Pancreatic Neoplasms

Advances in Anatomic Pathology, 2008
Molecular analyses of neoplasms of the pancreas, coupled with careful histopathologic examination has helped refine the classification of pancreatic neoplasia. A number of molecularly and histologically distinct subtypes of pancreatic neoplasms have been identified and, importantly, many of these subtypes have important clinical implications.

Molecular Characterization of Copepod Photoreception

The Biological Bulletin, 2017
Copepod crustaceans are an abundant and ecologically significant group whose basic biology is guided by numerous visually guided behaviors. These behaviors are driven by copepod eyes, including naupliar eyes and Gicklhorn's organs, which vary widely in structure and function among species.

Molecular characterization of epididymal proteins

Reviews of Reproduction, 1998
By using various methods, ranging from conventional protein separation and purification to monoclonal antibody and cDNA cloning strategies, a considerable body of information has been obtained on mammalian epididymal proteins. Molecular characterization of proteins specifically produced in the human epididymis has been achieved by cDNA cloning ...
