Bio‐Inspired Molecular Events in Poly(Ionic Liquids)
Originating from dipolar and polar inter‐ and intra‐chain interactions of the building blocks, the topologies and morphologies of poly(ionic liquids) (PIL) govern their nano‐ and micro‐processibility. Modulating the interactions of cation‐anion pairs with aliphatic dipolar components enables the tunability of properties, facilitated by “bottom‐up ...

Multiple-scattering effects on single-wavelength lidar sounding of multi-layered clouds [PDF]
We performed Monte Carlo simulations of single-wavelength lidar signals from multi-layered clouds with special attention focused on the multiple-scattering (MS) effect in regions of the cloud-free molecular atmosphere (i.e.

Dual‐Ligand Metal‐Organic Frameworks via In Situ Amidoxime Engineering for Selective Ion Separation
Inspired by microbial ion‐trapping mechanisms, a mild and universal strategy is developed to construct highly porous amidoxime‐functionalized MOFs. DFT calculations and molecular force measurements reveal that the dual‐ligand amidoxime configuration significantly strengthens Ga(III) affinity.

Characterizing the 3D Structure of Molecular Cloud Envelopes in the Cloud Factory Simulations
We leverage recent numerical simulations of highly resolved star-forming regions in a Milky Way–like galaxy to explore the nature of extended gaseous envelopes around molecular clouds.

Distribution of Water Vapor in Molecular Clouds
We report the results of a large-area study of water vapor along the Orion Molecular Cloud ridge, the purpose of which was to determine the depth-dependent distribution of gas-phase water in dense molecular clouds.

Distance to the Galactic Center 7′ Halo from H I Absorption
Using archival data, we have made an H I absorption study of the 7 ${}^{{\prime} }$ halo surrounding the Sgr A complex, observed toward the Galactic center (GC) region. We find strong H I absorption near velocities of −53 km s ^−1 , which is due to the 3

Outflows in rho Ophiuchi as Seen with the Spitzer Infrared Array Camera
Using the IRAC images from the Spitzer c2d program, we have made a survey of mid-infrared outflows in the rho Ophiuchi molecular cloud. Extended objects that have prominent emission in IRAC channel 2 (4.5 micron) compared to IRAC channel 1 (3.6 micron ...
