Controlled Molecular Diffusion in Fluorescent Polymer Films for Label‐Free Detection of Volatile Organic Compounds

open access: yesAdvanced Sensor Research
Aggregation‐induced emission has eliminated the problem of fluorescence quenching in the solid state, making molecules with this property excellent candidates for vapor sensing due to their portability and ease of interpretation.

Cancer‐associated mutations in endometriosis reframe a benign disease through molecular oncology

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review aims to comprehensively analyse cancer‐associated somatic mutations (CAMs) present in endometriotic lesions, emphasizing their biological roles, spatial distribution and implications for translational applications in medicine. By contextualizing a benign state within a genomic framework, this analysis seeks to establish its value as a ...

Targeting transcription factors associated with hemoglobinopathies: Lessons from successful interventions and implications for cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This review summarizes the transcription factors, repressive chromatin‐modifying complexes, and epigenetic mechanisms that control fetal hemoglobin repression. Notably, many regulators of γ‐globin silencing also function in transcriptional and epigenetic networks that drive cancer, highlighting opportunities to translate advances in hemoglobinopathy ...

QENS and the benefit of diffusion measurements over different length scales [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The quasi-elastic neutron scattering (QENS) technique was first used to derive self-diffusivities of hydrocarbons in zeolites, but transport diffusivities of deuterated molecules and of molecules which do not contain hydrogen atoms can now be measured ...

Spatial biology in cancer epigenetics

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Spatial epigenomics combines molecular profiling with tissue architecture to reveal how gene regulation is organized within intact tissues. In cancer, these technologies uncover the mechanisms driving tumor heterogeneity and microenvironmental interactions, opening new opportunities for biomarker discovery and precision medicine.

Diffusion through porous media: ultrafiltration, membrane permeation and molecular sieving [PDF]

open access: yes, 2009
This paper considers permeation through microporous or nanoporous inorganic membranes under the influence of an applied pressure gradient. In general membrane permeation may be considered as a diffusive process, driven by the gradient of chemical ...

A molecular theory of large-solute diffusion

open access: yesCondensed Matter Physics, 2007
The limit of a large solute in the molecular theory of diffusion developed by Yamaguchi et al. [Yamaguchi T. et al., J. Chem. Phys., 2005, 123, 034504] is studied.

Method for obtaining the Knudsen diffusion coefficient

open access: yesMethodsX, 2018
Recently, we developed a method for obtaining the Knudsen diffusion coefficient from the results of tracer experiments with a binary gas system and a porous medium in a column.

Paclitaxel induces NM2‐dependent cellular contraction through GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and RhoA/ROCK activation in cancer cells

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
Taxanes are widely used chemotherapeutics whose effects on cellular mechanics remain poorly understood. We show that paclitaxel induces rapid cellular contraction by promoting GEF‐H1 dissociation from microtubules and non‐muscle myosin II activation through RhoA/ROCK.

Automated FRAP microscopy for high‐throughput analysis of protein dynamics in chromatin organization and transcription

open access: yesFEBS Open Bio, EarlyView.
RoboMic is an automated confocal microscopy pipeline for high‐throughput functional imaging in living cells. Demonstrated with fluorescence recovery after photobleaching (FRAP), it integrates AI‐driven nuclear segmentation, ROI selection, bleaching, and analysis.
