Clinical trials on PARP inhibitors in urothelial carcinoma (UC) showed limited efficacy and a lack of predictive biomarkers. We propose SLFN5, SLFN11, and OAS1 as UC‐specific response predictors. We suggest Talazoparib as the better PARP inhibitor for UC than Olaparib.

Multiplicative Zagreb Indices of Molecular Graphs
Mathematical modeling with the help of numerical coding of graphs has been used in the different fields of science, especially in chemistry for the studies of the molecular structures. It also plays a vital role in the study of the quantitative structure

Deterministic atom-light quantum interface
The notion of an atom-light quantum interface has been developed in the past decade, to a large extent due to demands within the new field of quantum information processing and communication.

HDAC4 is degraded by the E3 ligase FBXW7. In colorectal cancer, FBXW7 mutations prevent HDAC4 degradation, leading to oxaliplatin resistance. Forced degradation of HDAC4 using a PROTAC compound restores drug sensitivity by resetting the super‐enhancer landscape, reprogramming the epigenetic state of FBXW7‐mutated cells to resemble oxaliplatin ...

Molecular graphs, point groups, and fullerenes
A general and convenient method is described by which one can obtain the point group, the 13C NMR pattern, and the number of IR- and Raman-active vibrations of any given fullerene structure directly from its molecular graph. The method is based on certain ‘‘topological’’ atomic coordinates, the Cartesian components of which in a topological principal ...

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

On the multiplicative sum Zagreb index of molecular graphs
Multiplicative sum Zagreb index is a modified version of the famous Zagreb indices. For a graph GG, the multiplicative sum Zagreb index is defined as Π1*(G)=∏uv∈E(G)(dG(u)+dG(v)){\Pi }_{1}^{* }\left(G)={\prod }_{uv\in E\left(G)}\left({d}_{G}\left(u)+{d}_{

Hierarchical graphs for rule-based modeling of biochemical systems
Background In rule-based modeling, graphs are used to represent molecules: a colored vertex represents a component of a molecule, a vertex attribute represents the internal state of a component, and an edge represents a bond between components ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...
