On the inverse mostar index problem for molecular graphs [PDF]

open access: yesTransactions on Combinatorics
Mostar indices are recently proposed distance-based graph invariants, that already have been much investigated and found applications. In this paper, we investigate the inverse problem for Mostar indices of unicyclic and bicyclic molecular graphs.

Some Bond Incident Degree Indices of (Molecular) Graphs with Fixed Order and Number of Cut Vertices

open access: yesDiscrete Dynamics in Nature and Society, 2021
A bond incident degree (BID) index of a graph G is defined as ∑uv∈EGfdGu,dGv, where dGw denotes the degree of a vertex w of G, EG is the edge set of G, and f is a real-valued symmetric function. The choice fdGu,dGv=adGu+adGv in the aforementioned formula

PARP inhibitors elicit distinct transcriptional programs in homologous recombination competent castration‐resistant prostate cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
PARP inhibitors are used to treat a small subset of prostate cancer patients. These studies reveal that PARP1 activity and expression are different between European American and African American prostate cancer tissue samples. Additionally, different PARP inhibitors cause unique and overlapping transcriptional changes, notably, p53 pathway upregulation.

Molecular graphs and molecular conduction: the d-omni-conductors [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Chemistry Chemical Physics, 2020
Graph–theoretical distance gives a complete classification of conduction behaviour of alternant and non-alternant molecular devices within the source-sink-potential model.

Characterizing the salivary RNA landscape to identify potential diagnostic, prognostic, and follow‐up biomarkers for breast cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
This study explores salivary RNA for breast cancer (BC) diagnosis, prognosis, and follow‐up. High‐throughput RNA sequencing identified distinct salivary RNA signatures, including novel transcripts, that differentiate BC from healthy controls, characterize histological and molecular subtypes, and indicate lymph node involvement.

On Merrifield-Simmons index of molecular graphs [PDF]

open access: yesKragujevac Journal of Science, 2016
The Merrifield-Simmons index σ = σ(G) of a graph G is the number of independent vertex sets of G. This index can be calculated recursively and expressed in terms of Fibonacci numbers.

Integrated genomic and proteomic profiling reveals insights into chemoradiation resistance in cervical cancer

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
A comprehensive genomic and proteomic analysis of cervical cancer revealed STK11 and STX3 as a potential biomarkers of chemoradiation resistance. Our study demonstrated EGFR as a therapeutic target, paving the way for precision strategies to overcome treatment failure and the DNA repair pathway as a critical mechanism of resistance.

Eccentric connectivity index [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
The eccentric connectivity index $\xi^c$ is a novel distance--based molecular structure descriptor that was recently used for mathematical modeling of biological activities of diverse nature. It is defined as $\xi^c (G) = \sum_{v \in V (G)} deg (v) \cdot

YAP1::TFE3 mediates endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal plasticity in epithelioid hemangioendothelioma

open access: yesMolecular Oncology, EarlyView.
The YAP1::TFE3 fusion protein drives endothelial‐to‐mesenchymal transition (EndMT) plasticity, resulting in the loss of endothelial characteristics and gain of mesenchymal‐like properties, including resistance to anoikis, increased migratory capacity, and loss of contact growth inhibition in endothelial cells.

Modified Zagreb connection indices of the T-sum graphs

open access: yesMain Group Metal Chemistry, 2020
The quantitative structures activity relationships (QSAR) and quantitative structures property relationships (QSPR) between the chemical compounds are studied with the help of topological indices (TI’s) which are the fixed real numbers directly linked ...
