Three-Dimensional Molecular Model for Active Inorganic Chemistry Learning: A Hand-made Approach

2023
Due to its beneficial effects on the teaching and learning process, the use of molecular models in education has proved the importance of this method. It is clear that using handmade tools is very important in science education. This study makes recommendations for using the molecular model in high schools and universities to teach and evaluate ...

Synthesis of an organic-inorganic hybrid with short organic molecular chains by sol-gel chemistry

Journal of the Mechanical Behavior of Biomedical Materials, 2021
An oligomer with short organic molecular chains was successfully synthesized with KH550 and KH560. This oligomer was combined with tetraethyl orthosilicate and calcium chloride to prepare an organic-inorganic hybrid biological material (OI-BM) by sol-gel chemistry.

Chemistry and Physics of Molecular-Based Inorganic Compounds Exhibiting a Spontaneous Magnetization

Molecular Crystals and Liquid Crystals Incorporating Nonlinear Optics, 1989
Abstract One of the main challenges in the field of the molecular materials is the design of molecular-based ferromagnets. Our basic strategy along this line consists of assembling ferrimagnetic chains within the crystal lattice in a ferromagnetic fashion. This can be achieved owing to the (almost) limitless flexibility of the molecular chemistry.

Surface Chemistry for Molecular Layer Deposition of Organic and Hybrid Organic−Inorganic Polymers

Accounts of Chemical Research, 2009
The fabrication of many devices in modern technology requires techniques for growing thin films. As devices miniaturize, manufacturers will need to control thin film growth at the atomic level. Because many devices have challenging morphologies, thin films must be able to coat conformally on structures with high aspect ratios.

Supramolecular chemistry of cascade polymers: Construction, molecular inclusion, and inorganic connectivity

Macromolecular Symposia, 1995
AbstractThe construction of cascade polymers with novel properties is discussed. A flexible amide‐based cascade architecture facilitates changes of the molecular hydrodynamic radius as a function of environmental pH, provided that the periphery is coated with ionizable functional groups (e.g., carboxylic acids or amines). Thus, it is possible to expand
