Frustrated spin- 12 molecular magnetism in the mixed-valence antiferromagnets Ba3MRu2O9(M=In , Y, Lu) [PDF]
We have performed magnetic susceptibility, heat capacity, muon spin relaxation, and neutron scattering measurements on three members of the family Ba3MRu2O9, where M = In, Y and Lu. These systems consist of mixed-valence Ru dimers on a triangular lattice

Ground States of Heisenberg Spin Clusters from a Cluster-Based Projected Hartree–Fock Approach
Recent work on approximating ground states of Heisenberg spin clusters by projected Hartree–Fock theory (PHF) is extended to a cluster-based ansatz (cPHF).

Possible magnetic states in buckybowl molecules
Possible magnetic properties are studied in the buckybowl molecules: the sumanene and a part of C_60. The Hubbard model is applied to the systems. We find that the molecular structure determines the magnetism in the sumanene.

Metallic, magnetic and molecular nanocontacts [PDF]
Scanning tunnelling microscopy and break-junction experiments realize metallic and molecular nanocontacts that act as ideal one-dimensional channels between macroscopic electrodes. Emergent nanoscale phenomena typical of these systems encompass structural, mechanical, electronic, transport, and magnetic properties.
