Molecular mapping of leaf rust resistance genes in the wheat line Yu 356-9

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture, 2015
The Chinese wheat line Yu 356-9 exhibits a high level of resistance to leaf rust. In order to decipher the genetic base of resistance in Yu 356-9, gene postulation, inheritance analyses, and chromosome linkage mapping were carried out.

Genetics and Molecular Mapping of a High-Temperature Resistance Gene to Stripe Rust in Seeding-Stage in Winter Wheat Cultivar Lantian 1

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture, 2013
Stripe rust, caused by Puccinia striiformis Westend. f. sp. tritici (Pst), is a severe foliar disease of common wheat (Triticum aestivum L.) in the world. Resistance is the best approach to control the disease.

Mapping of Two New Rust Resistance Genes Uvf-2 and Uvf-3 in Faba Bean

open access: yesAgronomy, 2021
Faba bean is gaining attention in Australia as a rotation grain legume where most of the country’s produce is exported. Rust, caused by Uromyces viciae-fabae, is a major constraint to Faba bean production in eastern Australia and its chemical control ...

Prediction of Molecular Properties Using Molecular Topographic Map [PDF]

open access: yesMolecules, 2021
Prediction of molecular properties plays a critical role towards rational drug design. In this study, the Molecular Topographic Map (MTM) is proposed, which is a two-dimensional (2D) map that can be used to represent a molecule. An MTM is generated from the atomic features set of a molecule using generative topographic mapping and is then used as input

Identification and Molecular Mapping of the RsDmR Locus Conferring Resistance to Downy Mildew at Seedling Stage in Radish (Raphanus sativus L.)

open access: yesJournal of Integrative Agriculture, 2014
Downy mildew (DM), caused by the fungus Peronospora parasitica, is a destructive disease of radish (Raphanus sativus L.) worldwide. Host resistance has been considered as an attractive and environmentally friendly approach to control the disease. However,

Encoding molecular motions in voxel maps [PDF]

open access: yes2009 IEEE International Conference on Robotics and Automation, 2009
This paper builds on the combination of robotic path planning algorithms and molecular modeling methods for computing large-amplitude molecular motions, and introduces voxel maps as a computational tool to encode and to represent such motions. We investigate several applications and show results that illustrate the interest of such representation.

Identification of Cucumber mosaic resistance 2 (cmr2) That Confers Resistance to a New Cucumber mosaic virus Isolate P1 (CMV-P1) in Pepper (Capsicum spp.)

open access: yesFrontiers in Plant Science, 2018
Cucumber mosaic virus (CMV) is one of the most devastating phytopathogens of Capsicum. The single dominant resistance gene, Cucumber mosaic resistant 1 (Cmr1), that confers resistance to the CMV isolate P0 has been overcome by a new isolate (CMV-P1 ...

Quantitative Distribution of DNA, RNA, Histone and Proteins Other than Histone in Mammalian Cells, Nuclei and a Chromosome at High Resolution Observed by Scanning Transmission Soft X-Ray Microscopy (STXM)

open access: yesCells, 2019
Soft X-ray microscopy was applied to study the quantitative distribution of DNA, RNA, histone, and proteins other than histone (represented by BSA) in mammalian cells, apoptotic nuclei, and a chromosome at spatial resolutions of 100 to 400 nm.
