The Molecular Structure of Fibrinogen
Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis, 1974Abstract Seminars in Thrombosis and Hemostasis (STH) celebrates 50 years of publishing in 2024. To celebrate this landmark event, STH is republishing some archival material. This manuscript represents the first full paper ever published in STH.

The molecular structure of ferrocene
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 1996The vertical iron–cyclopentadienyl distance in ferrocene has been determined using ab initio coupled-cluster theory. At the CCSD level, a TZV2P basis set yields a metal–ligand distance of 1.664 Å with all 96 electrons correlated and 1.672 Å with 66 electrons correlated. With 66 electrons correlated at the CCSD(T) level the equilibrium distance is 1.660

Wavelets and molecular structure
Journal of Computer-Aided Molecular Design, 1996The wavelet method offers possibilities for display, editing, and topological comparison of proteins at a user-specified level of detail. Wavelets are a mathematical tool that first found application in signal processing. The multiresolution analysis of a signal via wavelets provides a hierarchical series of "best' lower-resolution approximations.

Twisted Molecular Structure on Tuning Ultralong Organic Phosphorescence.
Journal of Physical Chemistry Letters, 2018Compared to planar carbazole, the molecular conjugation of iminodibenzyl (Id) was destroyed by a C-C bond and a twisted structure was formed, which exhibited blue-shifted ultralong phosphorescence with a lifetime of 402 ms in a crystal under ambient ...

Atomic Force Microscopy for Molecular Structure Elucidation.
Angewandte Chemie, 2018Using scanning probe microscopy techniques, at low temperatures and in ultrahigh vacuum, individual molecules adsorbed on surfaces can be probed with ultrahigh resolution to determine their structure and details of their conformation, configuration ...

On the Molecular Structure of Collagen
Nature, 1969Several polytripeptide and polyhexapeptide models of collagen have the same triple helical conformation with one NH…O interchain H bond per tripeptide. Collagen itself probably has this structure.

Nephrotoxicity and Molecular Structure
Xenobiotica, 1975The nephrotoxicity of a number of aminophenols, quinols and catechols has been assessed from the extent of necrosis of proximal convoluted tubules produced by intravenous injection in rats, and the toxicity correlated with the oxidation-reduction potentials of the compounds.

The structure of the potassium channel: molecular basis of K+ conduction and selectivity.
Science, 1998The potassium channel from Streptomyces lividans is an integral membrane protein with sequence similarity to all known K+ channels, particularly in the pore region.

Molecular Structure of Proline
Chemistry – A European Journal, 2004AbstractThe molecular structures of the two lowest‐energy conformers of proline, Pro‐I and Pro‐II, have been characterized by ab initio electronic structure computations. An extensive MP2/6‐31G* quartic force field for Pro‐I, containing 62 835 unique elements in the internal coordinate space, was computed to account for anharmonic vibrational effects ...
