Brood parasitism ia a breeding strategy in which the parasitic bird lay eggs in nests of other species (host), which incubate the eggs and provide parental care to the chicks. The shiny cowbird (Molothrus bonariensis) is an obligate brood parasite that lay eggs in nests of more than 200 hosts, included the Creamy-bellied Thrush (Turdus amaurochalinus).
