Response to the letter by Mol

Pharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, 2014
We appreciate the interest in our paper. Please know that our focus on health policy evaluations in the USA does not imply a lack of interest in international research efforts. Rather, we were tasked with evaluating the US Food and Drug Administration’s (FDA) regulatory actions and, hence, constrained from conducting a worldwide review of activities ...

Dopant occupancy and exposure energy of Zn(1 mol.%, 3 mol.%, 5 mol.%, 7 mol.%):Yb:Nd:LiNbO3 crystals

Modern Physics Letters B, 2020
A series of Zn:Yb:Nd:LiNbO3 crystals with various concentrations of Zn[Formula: see text](1 mol.%, 3 mol.%, 5 mol.% and 7 mol.%) were grown by Czochralski method. The dopant occupancy and light-induced scattering ability of Zn:Yb:Nd:LiNbO3 crystals were measured and discussed by infrared spectra and exposure energy flux method.

The method of loci (MoL) and memory consolidation: Dreaming is not MoL-like

Behavioral and Brain Sciences, 2013
AbstractCertain method of loci (MoL) prerequisites – familiar, coherently ordered locations – should appear during dreaming if the latter is, in fact, elaborative memory encoding as hypothesized by Llewellyn. A review of the literature suggests that dreamed locations are neither familiar nor coherently ordered and thus unsuitable for facilitating ...

Preparing for MOL

2017
While NASA’s nineteen new astronauts were settling into their training in Houston, the first two classes of Manned Orbiting Laboratory (MOL) astronauts were progressing through their own preparation program. Based in California, the MOL training program bore similarities to that of NASA, with academic work on the basics of spaceflight, briefings on the

Optical properties of LiNbO3:Mg(5.21 mol %) and LiNbO3:Fe(0.009 mol %):Mg(5.04 mol %) crystals

Optics and Spectroscopy, 2014
Using methods of electronic spectroscopy, laser conoscopy, photoinduced (photoreactive) light scattering, and Raman light-scattering spectroscopy, we have studied the optical homogeneity, optical transmission, and photorefractive properties of single crystals LiNbO3:Mg(5.21 mol %) and LiNbO3:Fe(0.009 mol %):Mg(5.04 mol %) that were grown from congruent

Deep Sub-micro $$\hbox {mol}{\cdot }\hbox {mol}^{-1}$$ mol · mol - 1 Water-Vapor Measurement by Dual-Ball SAW Sensors for Temperature Compensation

International Journal of Thermophysics, 2015
A collimated surface acoustic wave (SAW) circles around the equator of a sphere hundreds of times. Because of the long distance travel of the collimated SAW, a small change in the SAW propagation caused by the environment of the sphere can be accumulated as a measurable range in amplitude and/or in delay time.

Existence of six incomplete MOLS [PDF]

open access: possibleAustralas. J Comb., 1995
A \(v\times v\) partial Latin square \(L\) with entries from the \(v\)-set \(S\) is said to be an incomplete Latin square of type \((v,n)\) if the empty cells of \(L\) form an \(n \times n\) subsquare and there exists an \(n\)-subset \(T\) of \(S\) such that the symbols in \(T\) occur in no row or column involved in the empty subsquare.
