Molten salt reactor is a very innovative concept of nuclear reactor that is safer and allows to recycle spent fuel from other reactors. In this design, the fuel is not solid but dissolved in molten fluorides or chlorides salts. In this work, the salt of interest is NaCl-MgCl2. However, conventional nuclear alloys undergo severe corrosion in this medium.
