A study of stainless steel as a material of construction for a molten salt reactor [PDF]
The aim of this work was to investigate the corrosion of stainless steel within a molten salt, with the possibility that it could be used as a construction material within a molten salt fuelled nuclear reactor.

Impact of corrosion on the emissivity of advanced-reactor structural alloys
Under standard operating conditions, the emissivity of structural alloys used for various components of nuclear reactors may evolve, affecting the heat transfer of the systems. In this study, mid-infrared emissivities of several reactor structural alloys

Mechanistic Analysis of Large Atomic Models of Molten Salt
This work uncovers the physical mechanism of large atomic models for molten salts by linking atomic contribution to electronic structure features. We demonstrate that energy predictions are physically determined by the local occupancy of frontier orbitals.

Dissolution Behavior of Simulated Spent Nuclear Fuel in LiCl-KCl-UCl3 Molten Salt
Considering the necessity of the development of methods to reduce the burden of storage and disposal of high-level radioactive waste, in this study, we propose a nuclide separation technique using molten salt immersion.

A fluorinated cyclic ether, FDOL, is shown to stabilize Mg metal anodes by tuning Mg2+ solvation of the G2 electrolyte. The G2‐FDOL electrolyte suppresses passivation and thick, diffusion‐blocking Mg deposits, enabling more uniform Mg plating/stripping and sustained interfacial reactions.
