Mechanism study on flotation separation of molybdenite from chalcocite using thioglycollic acid as depressant

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mining Science and Technology, 2017
Effects of collectors (butyl xanthate (BX), O-isopropyl-N-sulfur ethyl carbamate (Z-200) and emulsified kerosene), dereagent (sodium sulfide) and depressant thioglycollic acid (TGA) on the flotation of chalcocite and molybdenite were investigated through

A Review of Recent Advances in Depression Techniques for Flotation Separation of Cu–Mo Sulfides in Porphyry Copper Deposits

open access: yesMetals, 2020
Porphyry copper deposits (PCDs) are some of the most important sources of copper (Cu) and molybdenum (Mo). Typically, the separation and recovery of chalcopyrite (CuFeS2) and molybdenite (MoS2), the major Cu and Mo minerals, respectively, in PCDs are ...

Selective Leaching of Molybdenum from Bulk Concentrate by Electro-Oxidation

open access: yesMetals, 2021
This paper proposes selective leaching of molybdenum from Mo/Cu complex bulk concentrates in a 5 M NaCl solution using the electro-oxidation method. Here, the effects of several factors such as pH, pulp density, current density, and temperatures were ...

Molybdenite [PDF]

open access: yes, 1979
Molybdenite is a heavy mineral but has got a property of natural flotability just like graphite. Depending upon the concentration and the associated minerals gravity method may be applied; but usually molybdenite is concentrated by flotation ...

Geochemistry and Geochronology of Magmatic Rocks in Southwestern and Northeastern Cambodia: Implications for the Tectonic Evolution and Metallogenesis of the Loei Fold Belt

open access: yesGeological Journal, EarlyView.
The composition of intrusive rocks suggests that the magma was likely generated in a subduction‐related setting. The arc crustal thickness in the Phnom Sro Ngam and Halo Prospects was probably < 40 km during emplacement. Zircon U–Pb age range indicates a correlation with Loei Fold Belt magmatic activity.

Geochemical Characteristics and Their Geological Significance of Zircon and Apatite From the Wunugetushan Porphyry Cu–Mo Deposit, Inner Mongolia, NE China

open access: yesActa Geologica Sinica - English Edition, EarlyView.
The key factors making the monzogranitic porphyry fertile for mineralization, including its high Cl, S, and H2O contents, high oxidation state, significant fluid exsolution, and multiple recharges of deep‐seated mafic magma, were all critical for the formation of the Wunugetushan porphyry Cu‐Mo deposit. ABSTRACT The Wunugetushan (Wushan) porphyry Cu–Mo

Study on Process Mineralogy and Mineral Processing Technology of A Low Grade Copper-Molybdenum Ore

open access: yesKuangchan zonghe liyong, 2023
A copper-molybdenum ore in Qinghai contains 0.084% Mo and 0.067% Cu. Process mineralogical study shows that molybdenum in the ore mainly exists in the form of molybdenite, while copper in the form of chalcopyrite, chalcocite and bornite.

Leaching Behavior of Copper Sulfide Concentrate in Sulfate–Chloride Media With Hydrogen Peroxide and Ethylene Glycol

open access: yesEngineering Reports, Volume 8, Issue 5, May 2026.
Copper sulfide concentrate leaching in sulfate–chloride media was significantly enhanced by chloride ions and stabilized hydrogen peroxide. Ethylene glycol suppressed oxidant decomposition at high temperature, increasing copper recovery to 75.2% and overcoming chalcopyrite passivation through a surface‐reaction‐controlled mechanism.
