Research Progress of Polyoxometalate‐Integrated Frameworks: Syntheses, Properties, and Applications
This review systematically summarizes the integration of polyoxometalates with covalent organic frameworks, metal‐organic frameworks, hydrogen‐bonded organic frameworks, and emerging porous hosts. It highlights synergistic effects, synthesis strategies, and applications in catalysis, energy storage, sensing, and biomedicine, while addressing current ...

Trace Metal Requirements for Microbial Enzymes Involved in the Production and Consumption of Methane and Nitrous Oxide [PDF]
Fluxes of greenhouse gases to the atmosphere are heavily influenced by microbiological activity. Microbial enzymes involved in the production and consumption of greenhouse gases often contain metal cofactors.

Inherited metabolic epilepsies–established diseases, new approaches
Abstract Inherited metabolic epilepsies (IMEs) represent the inherited metabolic disorders (IMDs) in which epilepsy is a prevailing component, often determining other neurodevelopmental outcomes associated with the disorder. The different metabolic pathways affected by individual IMEs are the basis of their rarity and heterogeneity.

Evidence That the P\u3csub\u3ei\u3c/sub\u3e Release Event Is the Rate-Limiting Step in the Nitrogenase Catalytic Cycle [PDF]
Nitrogenase reduction of dinitrogen (N2) to ammonia (NH3) involves a sequence of events that occur upon the transient association of the reduced Fe protein containing two ATP molecules with the MoFe protein that includes electron transfer, ATP hydrolysis,

Dietary and biomarker‐guided strategies as supportive measures in the fragile X syndrome
Abstract The fragile X syndrome (FXS) is an inherited neurodevelopmental disorder that primarily affects males, often resulting in an IQ below 55, while about two‐thirds of females also experience intellectual disability. Physical features may include an elongated face, prominent ears, finger joint laxity, and enlarged testes in males.

Transposon and deletion mutagenesis of genes involved in perchlorate reduction in Azospira suillum PS. [PDF]
UnlabelledAlthough much work on the biochemistry of the key enzymes of bacterial perchlorate reduction, chlorite dismutase, and perchlorate reductase has been published, understanding of the molecular mechanisms of this metabolism has been somewhat ...

ABSTRACT Environmental exposure to heavy metals poses a threat to human health. Several studies documented harmful effects on the liver after arsenic and nickel exposure at concentrations beyond permissible limits. Nevertheless, the impact of a simultaneous exposure to both elements on hepatic biochemistry and histology remains unelucidated. Therefore,

Incorporation of Molybdenum into the Iron-Molybdenum Cofactor of Nitrogenase [PDF]
The biosynthesis of the iron-molybdenum cofactor (FeMo-co) of dinitrogenase was investigated using 99Mo to follow the incorporation of Mo into precursors. 99Mo label accumulates on dinitrogenase only when all known components of the FeMo-co synthesis system, NifH, NifNE, NifB-cofactor, homocitrate, MgATP, and reductant, are present.

Abstract BACKGROUND Over the past two decades, the global incidence of gout has markedly increased, affecting people worldwide. Considering the side effects of xanthine oxidase (XO) inhibitor drugs (e.g. allopurinol and febuxostat) used in the treatment of hyperuricemia and gout, the potential application of phytochemicals has been widely studied.
