The Investigation of Improvement Effects on Friction Properties of Mononuclear MoDTCs having Azaheterocycles by Episulfidation

open access: yesTribology Online, 2010
The effects of episulfidation on the frictional properties of mononuclear molybdenum dithiocarbamates having azaheterocycles were investigated. It was shown that the friction coefficients of the lubricants with the episulfided mononuclear molybdenum ...

Systematic Phosphorus‐Driven Structural and Field Engineering of n‐a‐Si:H for Flexible n‐a‐Si:H/Te Near‐Infrared Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Our research elucidates the systematic evolution of the microstructure and optoelectronic properties of n‐a‐Si:H governed by the phosphine dilution ratio. Optimally phosphorus‐doped n‐a‐Si:H is integrated with Te to form a flexible heterojunction, enabling high‐performance near‐infrared photodetectors.

Exfoliated‐MoS2 Gradual Resistive Switching Devices as Artificial Synapses

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
A vertical memristor based on untreated, exfoliated MoS2 is presented, revealing gradual resistive switching governed by Schottky barrier modulation at the MoS2/metal interface from the trapping/detrapping of charges. Furthermore, the device emulates synaptic‐like plasticity functions, including: potentiation, depression, and spike‐amplitude‐dependent ...

Ultra-sensitive biosensor with hybrid coupling between molybdenum disulfide thin film and photonic waveguide mode

open access: yesResults in Physics, 2019
Coupling between planar waveguide modes (WGMs) with monolayer molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is analyzed. A low quality factor waveguide is attached with MoS2 to generate a broad resonance.

Twisted MoS2 Bilayers as Functional Elements in Memtransistors: Hysteresis, Optical Signatures, and Photocurrent Kinetics

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Layered 2D materials are considered as promising for memristive applications due to their ultimate vertical scalability compared to conventional semiconductor films and pronounced hysteresis properties. Bias‐resolved Raman and Photoluminescence mapping is used to quantify strain from phonon shifts and carrier density from the exciton‐trion ...

Influence of Top Electrode Metal on Resistive Switching in Multilayer MOCVD MoS2 Memristors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
MoS2 memristors typically use evaporated noble metal electrodes. This study compares Pd, Ni, and Al electrodes and sputtered versus evaporated deposition. Pd is passive, while Ni damages MoS2, yielding poor switching. Sputtered Al enables reproducible ECM‐type switching with 95% yield, whereas evaporated Al forms an interfacial oxide that suppresses ...

3D continuum phonon model for group-IV 2D materials

open access: yesBeilstein Journal of Nanotechnology, 2017
A general three-dimensional continuum model of phonons in two-dimensional materials is developed. Our first-principles derivation includes full consideration of the lattice anisotropy and flexural modes perpendicular to the layers and can thus be applied

Probing Spin-Orbit Coupling and Interlayer Coupling in Atomically Thin Molybdenum Disulfide Using Hydrostatic Pressure

open access: yes, 2016
In two-dimensional transition-metal dichalcogenides, both spin–orbit coupling and interlayer coupling play critical roles in the electronic band structure and are desirable for the potential applications in spin electronics.
