Abstract Venetoclax combined with hypomethylating agents has improved treatment for older or unfit patients with acute myeloid leukaemia (AML), but resistance and relapse remain common. This review analyses the rationale for combining venetoclax with inhibitors of histone deacetylase (HDAC).

Under physiological conditions, NAC activates the PI3K‐AKT‐COL6A1 axis to sustain redox balance and enhance osteogenesis. COL6A1 deficiency, however, compromises this axis, inducing oxidative stress and impairing NAC's osteogenic efficacy. ABSTRACT Alveolar bone injury represents a prevalent clinical challenge in dentistry, for which stem cell‐based ...

Physiological media and oxygen levels modulate cancer hallmarks in cultured breast cancer cells
MCF7 breast cancer cells were cultured in standard conditions (18% O2 and DMEM) and physiological conditions (5% O2 and Plasmax, a medium modeled after the human plasma metabolome). A combined transcriptomic and proteomic approach was used to identify gene expression signatures at the mRNA and protein levels upstream of functional enrichment analyses ...

Bio‐active designed peptide for hair keratin strengthening
Bioactive tripeptides through in silico screening revealed KCV (Tripeptide‐132) as the most promising keratin‐targeting candidate. Experimental studies confirmed its superior hair‐strengthening performance with 44% tensile strength enhancement, 50% breakage reduction, improved surface integrity and fibre penetration.

Intrinsic Capacitance of Molybdenum Disulfide
ACS Nano, 2020The metallic, 1T polymorph of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is promising for next-generation supercapacitors due to its high theoretical surface area and density which lead to high volumetric capacitance. Despite this, there are few fundamental works examining the double-layer charging mechanisms at the MoS2/electrolyte interface. This study examines the

Cubic Nonlinearity of Molybdenum Disulfide Nanoflakes
Journal of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology, 2020The cubic optical nonlinearity of molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanoflakes was characterized by Z-scan and I-scan with resonant excitation. The excitation source was a ~6 ns laser at 532 nm with a 10 Hz repetition rate. The open and closed Z-scan analyzed the nonlinear absorption and nonlinear refraction properties of MoS2 nanoflakes.

Magnetic Molybdenum Disulfide Nanosheet Films
Nano Letters, 2007Bulk molybdenum disulfide is known to be a nonmagnetic material. We have synthesized edge-oriented MoS2 nanosheet-like films that exhibit weak magnetism ( approximately 1-2 emu/g) and 2.5% magnetoresistance effects with a Curie temperature of 685 K.

Molybdenum disulfide and water interaction parameters
The Journal of Chemical Physics, 2017Understanding the interaction between water and molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) is of crucial importance to investigate the physics of various applications involving MoS2 and water interfaces. An accurate force field is required to describe water and MoS2 interactions.
