Tunable Photoluminescence from Monolayer Molybdenum Disulfide

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Interfaces
Monolayer molybdenum disulfide (1L MoS2), a promising optoelectronic material, emits strong visible photoluminescence (PL). Systematic control of the intensity, energy, and spectral width of PL from 1L MoS2 on silicon dioxide/silicon (SiO2/Si) is ...

A Graphene–Molybdenum Disulfide Heterojunction Phototransistor

open access: yesCrystals
Heterojunctions combining graphene with transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDCs) have garnered considerable interest in phototransistor research. Molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) can be well combined with graphene owing to its excellent and special bandgap ...

TECTB Variants Reveal Tectorial Membrane Vulnerability in Dominant Non‐Syndromic Hearing Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
TECTB is a non‐collagenous protein of the tectorial membrane – an extracellular matrix of the cochlea. This study identifies dominant missense variants in TECTB linked to human hereditary deafness in two unrelated families. Genetically engineered mice homozygous for one of the variants are profoundly deaf, whereas heterozygous mice have normal hearing ...

Functionalization‐Mediated Synthesis of Bridge‐Coordinated Fe Atoms on MoS2 Nanosheets for PEM Water Electrolyzers

open access: yesAngewandte Chemie, EarlyView.
We report a functionalization‐mediated strategy to synthesize robust iron (Fe) atoms selectively coordinated at bridge sites on molybdenum disulfide (MoS2) nanosheets. The resulting b‐Fe‐MoS2 catalyst exhibits enhanced activity and durability for the hydrogen evolution reaction in proton exchange membrane water electrolyzers compared to atop ...

Palaeoproteomic Deconvolution of Physical and Genetic Collagen Mixtures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
ClassiCOL_v2 uses a novel “peptide patching” framework that treats any collagen sample as a patchwork of peptide sequences derived from phylogenetically related species. This allows the algorithm to simultaneously resolve two previously intractable problems: multi‐species samples and/or database deficiencies.
