ABSTRACT Background Japan has one of the highest dialysis prevalence rates worldwide and a shrinking, aging population. Whether dialysis burden has entered a sustained post‐peak phase or whether recent declines partly reflect pandemic‐related disruptions remains uncertain.

A Visual Navigation Method of Mobile Robot Using a Sketched Semantic Map
A new visual navigation method for a mobile robot is proposed in this paper. Its originality lies in integrating a sketched map with a semantic map together for the robot's navigation and in using unified tags to help recognize landmarks.

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

Vortex moment map for unsteady incompressible viscous flows [PDF]
In this paper, a vortex moment map (VMM) method is proposed to predict the pitching moment on a body from the vorticity field. VMM is designed to identify the moment contribution of each given vortex in the flow field.

Organoids in pediatric cancer research
Organoid technology has revolutionized cancer research, yet its application in pediatric oncology remains limited. Recent advances have enabled the development of pediatric tumor organoids, offering new insights into disease biology, treatment response, and interactions with the tumor microenvironment.

Hamiltonian circle action with self-indexing moment map
Let (M,ω) be a 2n-dimensional closed symplectic manifold equipped with a Hamiltonian circle action with only isolated fixed points, and let μ : M → ℝ be a moment map.

Moment Maps and Equivariant Szegö Kernels [PDF]
Suppose given an Hamiltonian action of a compact semisimple Lie group on a polarized complex projective manifold $(M,L)$. We study by means of microlocal techniques the local and global asymptotic behaviour of linear series on $M$ defined in terms of the action and the irreducible representations of $G$.

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

On the Bargmann–Michel–Telegdi equations, and spin–orbit coupling: A tribute to Raymond Stora
The Bargmann–Michel–Telegdi equations describing the motions of a spinning, charged, relativistic particle endowed with an anomalous magnetic moment in an electromagnetic field, are reconsidered.
