Neutron star moments of inertia
An approximation for the moment of inertia of a neutron star in terms of only its mass and radius is presented, and insight into it is obtained by examining the behavior of the relativistic structural equations. The approximation is accurate to approximately 10% for a variety of nuclear equations of state, for all except very low mass stars.

ABSTRACT Objective SCN1A‐related seizures first present as febrile seizures (FS). Definitive features emerge later, making early diagnosis challenging. We evaluated the diagnostic yield and clinical characteristics of pathogenic SCN1A variants in FS, and analyzed the effect of variant characteristics on clinical phenotypes required for early ...

Nuclear moments of inertia at high spins [PDF]
Abstract Nuclei with highest angular momentum are discussed. The production of high spin states, and the basic ideas associated with high spin physics are reviewed. Recent developments from “continuum” γ-ray studies are presented: the measurement of different average moments of inertia gives new information on the interplay between collective and ...

Objective This study analyzed longitudinal trajectories of soluble Flt1 (sFlt1) levels, placenta growth factor (PlGF) levels, and sFlt1:PlGF ratios in a cohort of pregnant patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE). Methods Blood samples were collected (14–18, 24–26, 30–32, 34–36, and 38–40 weeks), stored at −80°C, and evaluated for serum levels ...

Objectives Social determinants of health (SDoH) can impact outcomes but are not routinely screened for in US outpatient rheumatology clinics. This study determined the feasibility of routine point‐of‐care SDoH screening among patients with systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE), and associated barriers and facilitators at the physician, care team, and ...

Moment of inertia through scaling and the parallel axis theorem
A right triangular plate scaled by a factor two generates a bigger plate composed of four triangular plates the same size as the original. By using dimensional analysis we write the moment of inertia around the center of mass, for the original and the ...

The moments of inertia of Mars
The mean moment of inertia of Mars is, at present, very poorly constrained. The generally accepted value of 0.365 MR² is obtained by assuming that the observed second degree gravity field can be decomposed into a hydrostatic oblate spheroid and a nonhydrostatic prolate spheroid with an equatorial axis of symmetry.
