Sono‐Mechanogenetics: Linking Ultrasound Physics With Cellular Mechanobiology

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Sono‐mechanogenetics links ultrasound physics with cellular mechanotransduction to enable noninvasive control of engineered biological systems. Acoustic forces generate distinct deformation modes that activate intracellular signaling pathways, which can be coupled to synthetic gene circuits to regulate diverse cellular functions, including gene ...

The $^4$He$(e,e^\prime p)^3$H Reaction with Full Final--State Interaction

open access: yes, 2005
An {\it ab initio} calculation of the $^4$He$(e,e^\prime p)^3$H longitudinal response is presented. The use of the integral transform method with a Lorentz kernel has allowed to take into account the full four--body final state interaction (FSI).

Impulse, Momentum, and Collisions [PDF]

open access: yes, 2019
When two billiard balls collide, in which direction would they travel after the collision? If a meteorite hits the earth, why does the earth remain in its orbit? When two cars collide with each other, why is one of the cars more damaged than the other? We will find that to answer such questions, new concepts must be introduced.

Progress in Strain Engineering of 2D‐Integrated Heterostructures for Ultrasensitive Sensors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
. ABSTRACT Two‐dimensional (2D) integrated heterostructures have emerged as a cornerstone in the advancement of next‐generation sensor technologies. These heterostructures, which combine materials with different dimensionalities, have led to significant breakthroughs in sensing performance and device integration.

The study of condensed matter by deep inelastic neutron scattering [PDF]

open access: yes
This thesis describes the technique of electron-volt neutron spectroscopy at the pulsed spallation neutron source ISIS at the Rutherford Appleton Laboratory. A number of systems were studied, with the emphasis on the validity of the impulse approximation

Rescattering and finite formation time effects in electro-disintegration of the deuteron in the cumulative region

open access: yes, 2003
The role of rescattering due to the final state interaction (FSI) and the influence of the finite formation time (FFT) on the inclusive $D(e,e')X$ and exclusive $D(e,e'p)n$ electro-disintegration of the deuteron are studied in the cumulative kinematical ...

Kenyan Farmers' Policy Priorities During Economic Crisis and Stability: Insights From a Best‐Worst Scaling Experiment

open access: yesApplied Economic Perspectives and Policy, EarlyView.
ABSTRACT Amid rising food and fertilizer prices, understanding farmers' policy preferences is critical for effective crisis response. We use best‐worst scaling experiment to assess Kenyan mobile‐owning crop farmers' preferences for government support under high and normal price scenarios.
