Designs on governance : development of policy instruments and dynamics in governance [PDF]

open access: yes, 2007
The thesis analyses the role of policy instruments for dynamics of governance, using case studies on ‘emissisons trading’ and ‘network access regulation in the utilities’.

Defect Analysis of the β– to γ–Ga2O3 Phase Transition

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
The role of defects at all the relevant stages of the β$\beta$‐ to γ$\gamma$‐Ga2O3 polymorph transition is investigated using a multi method approach. The positron annihilation spectroscopy based results show that the defect density decreases after the transition, and that changes in defect configuration within the γ phase occur with increasing ...

Top quark pair production in association with a jet with NLO parton showering [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
We compute the production cross section of a top-antitop pair in association with a jet at hadron colliders at next-to-leading order accuracy matched with parton shower algorithms to make predictions at the hadron level.

Magnetic‐Field Tuning of the Spin Dynamics in the Quasi‐2D Van der Waals Antiferromagnet CuCrP2S6

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reveals 2D character of the spin dynamics in CuCrP2S6, as well as complex field dependence of collective excitations in the antiferromagnetically ordered state. Their remarkable tuning from the antiferromagnetic to the ferromagnetic type with magnetic field, together with the non‐degeneracy of the magnon gaps favorable for the induction of ...

Gauge Consistent Wilson Renormalization Group I: Abelian Case

open access: yes, 1998
A version of the Wilson Renormalization Group Equation consistent with gauge symmetry is presented. A perturbative renormalizability proof is established.

Clean‐Limit 2D Superconductivity in a Thick Exfoliated Kagome Film

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports clean‐limit 2D superconductivity in a thick kagome system, analogous to the 3D case. It observes a drop in superfluid stiffness near the superconducting transition and a cusp‐like feature in the angular dependence of the upper critical field.

Integrated Metallo‐Dielectric 3D Hotspots From High Refractive Index Nanodiamond‐Plasmonic Gold Cryosoret Nano‐Assemblies for Photonic Crystal Enhanced Fluorescence

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This work presents a novel sensing platform using metallo‐dielectric cryosoret nano‐assemblies and lossless photonic crystals to overcome limitations of conventional plasmonic biosensors. The hybrid system enhances both electric and magnetic field interactions, enabling amplified fluorescence, ultralow detection limits, and prism‐free, objective‐free ...

Angular distributions of Drell-Yan leptons in the TMD factorization approach

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We present a comprehensive study of the angular structure functions for Drell-Yan leptons in Z/γ-boson production within the framework of the transverse momentum dependent (TMD) factorization theorem, including kinematic power corrections (KPCs). We find
