Energy-momentum conservation in gravity theories [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 1994
We discuss general properties of the conservation law associated with a local symmetry. Using Noether's theorem and a generalized Belinfante symmetrization procedure in 3+1 dimensions, a symmetric energy-momentum (pseudo) tensor for the gravitational Einstein-Hilbert action is derived and discussed in detail. In 2+1 dimensions, expressions are obtained

Theoretical Analysis of Shrouded Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines

open access: yesEnergies, 2017
Numerous analytical studies for power augmentation systems can be found in the literature with the goal to improve the performance of wind turbines by increasing the energy density of the air at the rotor.

Probes of holographic thermalization in a simple model with momentum relaxation

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2020
From the viewpoint of AdS/CFT correspondence, we investigate the holographic thermalization process in a four dimensional Einstein-Maxwell-axions gravity theory, which is considered as a simple bulk theory dual to a boundary theory with momentum ...

Covariant dynamics on the energy-momentum space: Scalar field theory

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2023
A scalar field theory is constructed on an energy-momentum background of constant curvature. The generalization of the usual Feynamn rules for the flat geometry follows from the requirement of their covariance.

On Sugawara construction on celestial sphere

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2020
Conformally soft gluons are conserved currents of the Celestial Conformal Field Theory (CCFT) and generate a Kac-Moody algebra. We study celestial amplitudes of Yang-Mills theory, which are Mellin transforms of gluon amplitudes and take the double soft ...

The (amazing) super-maze

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics, 2023
The entropy of the three-charge NS5-F1-P black hole in Type IIA string theory comes from the breaking of N 1 F1 strings into N 1 N 5 little strings, which become independent momentum carriers.

Pseudogauge freedom and the SO(3) algebra of spin operators

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
The energy-momentum and spin tensors for a given theory can be replaced by alternative expressions that obey the same conservation laws for the energy, linear momentum, as well as angular momentum but, however, differ by the local redistribution of such ...

Mass-Energy-Momentum: Only there because of Spacetime? [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
I describe how relativistic field theory generalises the paradigm property of material systems, the possession of mass, to the requirement that they have a mass-energy-momentum density tensor associated with them.

Energy-momentum puzzle in a bianchi-type ıı universe with f(T) gravity

open access: yesCumhuriyet Science Journal, 2020
The energy-momentum localization problem, which was attemted by Einstein himself for the first time, has been continued to the present day. Recently, new prescription obtained by modifying the torsion theory and these results shed light on the solution ...

Orbital angular momentum: origins, behavior and applications [PDF]

open access: yes, 2011
As they travel through space, some light beams rotate. Such light beams have angular momentum. There are two particularly important ways in which a light beam can rotate: if every polarization vector rotates, the light has spin; if the phase structure ...
