Consumption to biomass (Q/B) ratio and estimates of Q/B-predictor parameters for Caribbean fishes [PDF]
Estimates of the Q/B ratio and parameters of equations to 'predict' Q/B values for 116 fish stocks in the Gulf of Salamanca, Colombia are presented. A compilation of these estimates available for Caribbean Sea fishes (264 stocks) is also provided for ...

Comparing reef structure and mobile species assemblages at remnant and restored mussel reefs
Mussel restoration aims to replicate natural processes of reef establishment. The similarities in mussel reef structure and large mobile species communities observed between remnant and restored mussel reefs in this study provide evidence that, in the absence of intact systems, remnant mussel reefs adjacent to temperate rocky reefs may be suitable as ...

Fish use of restored shellfish reefs extends beyond the reef edge
Global loss of shellfish reefs has necessitated widespread restoration efforts, with fish population enhancement a key motivator. Restoring reefs often involves creating multiple individual reef patches to maximize services within a given budget. How patch arrangement influences fish utilization is valuable information for optimizing restoration ...
