Electron microprobe monazite geochronology of granitic intrusions from the Montes de Toledo batholith (central Spain) [PDF]

open access: yes, 2012
U–Th–Pb monazite dating by electron microprobe has been applied to three peraluminous granitic intrusions of the western Montes de Toledo batholith (MTB).

Data‐Driven Insights into Rare Earth Mineralization: Machine Learning Applications Using Functional Material Synthesis Data

open access: yesAdvanced Intelligent Systems, Volume 8, Issue 2, February 2026.
Hydrothermal synthesis records for rare‐earth compounds are repurposed to learn mineralization rules. An extreme gradient boosting model ingests precursors, additives, and engineered descriptors to predict product phases, crystallization temperature, and pH. Feature importance indicates dominant thermodynamic control with kinetic modulation, suggesting

Phase stability of lanthanum orthovanadate at high-pressure

open access: yes, 2016
When monoclinic monazite-type LaVO4 (space group P21/n) is squeezed up to 12 GPa at room temperature, a phase transition to another monoclinic phase has been found.

Palaeoglacier reconstruction and dynamics of Cordillera Vilcanota in the tropical high Peruvian Andes

open access: yesEarth Surface Processes and Landforms, Volume 51, Issue 2, February 2026.
We provide a geomorphological analysis of Cordillera Vilcanota and use morphostratigraphic principles to reconstruct palaeo icefield extent and palaeoglacier readvances, likely during the Antarctic Cold Reversal and Younger Dryas. We find evidence of temperate and polythermal ice margins, with limited glaciofluvial landform generation.

Composition and Structural Change of SrZP-monazite Composite Ceramic Forms Prepared by Microwave Sintering

open access: yesYuanzineng kexue jishu
Due to its excellent chemical stability, irradiation resistance, and thermal stability, strontium zirconium phosphate (Sr0.5Zr2(PO4)3) could be used to immobilize fission product strontium (Sr).

Inferences on the Mesozoic evolution of the North Aegean from the isotopic record of the Chalkidiki block [PDF]

open access: yes, 2016
International audienceThe Chalkidiki block is a major domain in the North Aegean that, contrary to other domains in the region, largely escaped thermal perturbations during Tertiary extension.

Multi‐Method Geochronology and P‒T Modeling Unravels the Thermo‐Tectonic History of the Rudall Province, Western Australia

open access: yesTectonics, Volume 45, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract The Rudall Province (RP) is a Paleo‐Mesoproterozoic belt that records numerous overprinting tectono‐metamorphic events. Situated on the eastern edge of the West Australian Craton (WAC), the RP represents a key area for understanding the Proterozoic assembly and subsequent tectonic history of Western Australia.

Assessing Pb Isotopic Equilibrium Between Apatite and K‐Feldspar

open access: yesGeochemistry, Geophysics, Geosystems, Volume 27, Issue 2, February 2026.
Abstract Quantifying common Pb, the non‐radiogenic Pb present in a mineral independent of in situ U decay, is essential for obtaining accurate U–Pb ages in common Pb‐bearing minerals such as apatite. However, constraining the amount and composition of common Pb, as well as the timing of its entrapment, remains a persistent challenge.
