Association Between Metabolic Syndrome, Obesity, and Cognitive Performances in Individuals With Bipolar Disorders: Cross‐Sectional and Longitudinal Analyses in the FACE‐BD Cohort

open access: yesActa Psychiatrica Scandinavica, Volume 153, Issue 2, Page 108-121, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Introduction Metabolic syndrome (MetS) has been suggested to be associated with cognitive impairments in bipolar disorder (BD); however, studies are limited by small sample sizes or cross‐sectional design. Our objective is to evaluate the cross‐sectional and longitudinal associations between MetS and cognitive performances in a large cohort of

Janus kinase and calcineurin‐inhibitor combination in anti‐MDA5 dermatomyositis: No significant survival benefit but reassuring safety profile

open access: yesJournal of Internal Medicine, Volume 299, Issue 2, Page 228-240, February 2026.
Abstract Objectives Anti‐MDA5 dermatomyositis (anti‐MDA5 DM) is the most severe subtype of dermatomyositis, due to its pulmonary involvement. Current treatment involves corticosteroids and immunosuppressants, but variability in responses exists. This study aims to evaluate the efficacy and safety of Janus kinase (JAK)– and calcineurin–inhibitor ...

Gaps Between European Crohn's Colitis Organisation Quality Standards of Care and the Real World in Special Situations in Inflammatory Bowel Disease Across Europe: Results From E‐QUALITY Survey

open access: yesJCC Plus, Volume 1, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Managing special situations in Inflammatory Bowel Disease (IBD)—such as surgery, nutrition, acute severe ulcerative colitis (ASUC) and paediatric‐to‐adult transition—is critical for patient outcomes. The European Crohn's and Colitis Organisation's (ECCO) E‐QUALITY initiative aimed to identify gaps between its evidence‐based care ...

Subcutaneous Apomorphine Infusion Initiation Is Associated with Impulse Control Disorder Attenuation in Advanced Parkinson's Disease Patients: Insights from the French NS‐Park Cohort

open access: yesMovement Disorders Clinical Practice, Volume 13, Issue 1, Page 142-153, January 2026.
Abstract Background Impulse control disorders (ICD) are common non‐motor complications in Parkinson's disease (PD), particularly in patients receiving oral dopamine agonists (DA). Continuous subcutaneous apomorphine infusion (CSAI) is a device‐aided therapy for advanced PD, but its effects on ICD remain underexplored in real‐world settings.

The Proinflammatory Secretome of Senescent Cells Can Be Controlled by a HIF2A‐Dependent Upregulation and a FURIN‐Dependent Cleavage of the ANGPTL4 Secreted Factor

open access: yesAging Cell, Volume 25, Issue 1, January 2026.
This article supports that ANGPTL4 secreted factor is induced transcriptionally and activated by proteolytic cleavage during senescence, contributing to the production of a pro‐inflammatory SASP. In the senescent cell microenvironment, ANGPTL4 could thus contribute to senescence‐dependent alterations such as inflammation and tumor initiation.
