Advanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.This study presents novel anti‐counterfeiting tags with multilevel security features that utilize additional disguise features. They combine luminescent nanosized Ln‐MOFs with conductive polymers to multifunctional mixed‐matrix membranes and powder composites. The materials exhibit visible/NIR emission and matrix‐based conductivity even as black bodies.

Advanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.Non‐faradaic label‐free impedimetric determination of cortisol is demonstrated with gold nanoparticles (AuNP) functionalized laser‐induced graphene interdigitated electrodes (LIG‐IDE). The AuNP functionalized LIG‐IDE exhibits remarkable characteristics including good logarithmic linear range, high reproducibility, repeatability, and robust selectivity.

Journal of Political Economy, 2003 Recent empirical work on financial crises documents that crises tend to occur when macroeconomic fundamentals are weak; but even after conditioning on an exhaustive list of fundamentals, a sizable random component to crises and associated capital flows remains. We develop a model of herd behavior consistent with these observations.
