A Dual‐Phase Pore Engineering Strategy to Enhance Low‐Voltage Plateau Capacity of Hard Carbon for Sodium‐Ion Batteries

open access: yesCarbon Energy, EarlyView.
A dual‐phase pore engineering strategy is developed to tailor the microstructure of hard carbon with short‐range disordered graphite domains, abundant micropores, and a closed‐pore structure with appropriate pore sizes and an ultrathin carbon layer. The optimized hard carbon material maintains a plateau capacity of 260.9 mAh g−1 at loading of up to 7 ...

Gas migration at the granite–bentonite interface under semirigid boundary conditions in the context of high‐level radioactive waste disposal

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
A series of water infiltration tests and gas permeability tests were conducted on granite and granite–bentonite samples. According to the results, the interfaces between granite and bentonite and the damaged granite were considered to be the preferentcial pathway for gas migration.

Growth diagnostics for a resource-rich transition economy : the case of Mongolia [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper uses a growth diagnostics approach à la Hausmann, Rodrik, and Velasco (HRV) to identify the most'binding'constraints to private sector growth in Mongolia - a small, low-income, mineral-rich, transition economy. The approach of applying the HRV

Stress analysis of crack characteristic of anthracite under dynamic loading

open access: yesDeep Underground Science and Engineering, EarlyView.
In this article, the dynamic compression test of anthracite under five strain rates is carried out, the evolution law of three kinds of crack characteristic stress is analyzed, and a prediction model of the crack characteristic stress threshold considering the strain rate effect is established. Then, the rationality of crack characteristic stress under
