Strategically Constructing Alkali‐Metal Interfacial Bridges to Boost Photocatalytic CO2 Methanation on Supported Ni─Ru Bimetallic Catalysts

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Strategically anchoring Na at the Ni─Ru/ZrO2 interface creates a robust Ni0─Niδ+─Na─O─Ru electronic bridge, significantly enhancing electron transfer and inter‐metal synergy. This interface accelerates photocatalytic CO2 methanation via stabilized *COOH intermediates and efficient H2 activation, boosting CH4 yield.

Order–Disorder Phase Stabilization by Pressure‐Induced Charge Transfer Enhances the Ferroelectric Photovoltaic Effect in Multiferroic BaFe4O7

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A pressure‐driven charge transfer in multiferroic BaFe4O7 induces Fe valence disproportionation and structural distortion, drastically narrowing the bandgap and enhancing ferroelectric polarization. This synergistic optimization boosts photocurrent 2.5‐fold and is retained upon decompression, offering a promising strategy to overcome the ferroelectric ...

Inframillimetric slip rate and ∼8kyr long recurrence intervals for Mw ≥ 7.5 earthquakes along the southern section of the Har-Us-Nuur fault (Mongolian Altay)

open access: yesBSGF - Earth Sciences Bulletin
The Har-Us-Nuur fault corresponds to one of the longest (>500 km) strike-slip fault in Mongolian Altai. Although the fault clearly affects Quaternary deposits, no major instrumental or historical earthquake is associated to it and only a few ...

Past and future drought in Mongolia

open access: yesScience Advances, 2018
Mongolian tree rings indicate that recent moisture extremes, although unusual, are not unprecedented in the last 2060 years. The severity of recent droughts in semiarid regions is increasingly attributed to anthropogenic climate change, but it is unclear

Strategic Facet Design of In2O3 Catalysts for Enhanced Kinetics and Hydrogen Suppression in Iron–Chromium Flow Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The electrode modified with octahedral indium oxide catalyst with exposed high activity (222) crystal plane can suppress the hydrogen evolution side reaction and improve the reaction kinetics of chromium of iron‐chromium flow batteries. The battery exhibits extremely high energy efficiency of 84.02% at an ultra‐high current density of 140 mA·cm−2 ...

Monolayer BX (X = P, As, Sb): Emerging High‐Performance Channel Materials for Advanced Transistors

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
Using a first‐principles quantum transport approach, the intrinsic transport properties of 2D BX (X = P, As, Sb) materials are investigated. These materials exhibit high on‐currents and excellent ambipolar symmetry in MOSFET configurations, and break the Boltzmann limit of subthreshold swing in TFETs while maintaining high and symmetric bipolar ...

Skull of a dromaeosaurid dinosaur Shri devi from the Upper Cretaceous of the Gobi Desert suggests convergence to the North American forms

open access: yesActa Palaeontologica Polonica, 2023
Numerous dromaeosaurid taxa recovered from the Upper Cretaceous strata of the Gobi Desert raise questions over niche partitioning among closely related species.

Effects of Geographic Region on the Composition of Bactrian Camel Milk in Mongolia

open access: yesAnimals, 2019
Summary Camels are known to occupy arid and desert countries. These pastoralist areas and conditions make it difficult to estimate camel milk production. Camel milk is considered to have anti-cancer, hypo-allergic and anti-diabetic properties.
