Chronically Stable, High‐Resolution Micro‐Electrocorticographic Brain‐Computer Interfaces for Real‐Time Motor Decoding

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A high‐resolution micro‐electrocorticographic (µECoG) brain‐computer interface (BCI) for real‐time motor decoding is reported. The application of flexible, scalable µECoG electrode arrays overcomes the insufficient spatial resolution in conventional ECoG BCIs.

The utility of limited trans-thoracic echocardiography in the stratification of pulse pressure variation: A feasibility study in major open abdominal surgery

open access: yesSaudi Journal of Anaesthesia, 2018
Background and Aim: Limitation in use of pulse pressure variation (PPV) in predicting fluid responsiveness (FR) in hypotensive patients is encountered when values are in the “gray zone ” (8–13%).

Novel Evolutionarily Conserved Oncogene COA4 is Driven by KRAS Mutant and Promotes Cancer Metastasis Through Dual Mitochondrial Metabolism‐Dependent and ‐Independent Mechanisms

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
In KRAS‐mutant tumors, KRAS transcriptionally upregulates COA4 via the PI3K/AKT/E2F1 axis, promoting metastasis. Mechanistically, COA4 enhances tumor cell migration through dual pathways: within mitochondria, it boosts oxidative phosphorylation; in the cytoplasm, it binds and activates CDC42 to stimulate pseudopodia formation.

Intraoperative Hemodynamic Monitoring

open access: yes, 2007
The combination of V5 with another lead (II, III, V4, or V6) increases the sensitivity of ischemia detection to 90%. In high-risk patients, most intraoperative ST segment changes occur in the absence of major hemodynamic lability, and maintenance of hemodynamic variables (blood pressure and heart rate) to within 20% of baseline values does not ...

Ultrasound-guided trans-rectal high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) for advanced cervical cancer ablation is feasible: a case report. [PDF]

open access: yes, 2015
High-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) is an ablative treatment undergoing assessment for the treatment of benign and malignant disease. We describe the first reported intracavitary HIFU ablation for recurrent, unresectable and symptomatic cervical ...

Tumor‐Targeted FABP5/STING Cascade Promote Radiofrequency Ablation Induced Ferroptosis and Intratumoral Immune Rewiring in Hepatocellular Carcinoma

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Targeted FABP5 co‐delivery nanoparticles amplify RFA‐induced ferroptosis and intratumoral immune rewiring via STING/TBK1 pathway activation in HCC. The pH‐responsive lipid nanoshell was integrated with cyclic RGD peptide (cRGD) and red blood cell membrane (RBCM), and encapsulated with superparamagnetic iron oxide (SPIO) and sgFABP5 to construct FS@RBCM/
