Thickness of woody tissue of host plants may affect behaviors of wood‐using insects that excavate the woody tissue during oviposition. Here we report that females of Doubledaya bucculenta (Coleoptera, Erotylidae, Languriinae) prefer thin‐walled areas of bamboo internodes for oviposition.
