Application Research of Quasi-monochromatic X-ray Machine Replacing 241Am Radioactive Source in Thickness Measurement

open access: yesJournal of Isotopes, 2014
In the research of BS-03 thickness detector, a self-designed quasi-monochromatic (50-60 keV) X-ray machine was studied as a substitution to Am-241 low energy photon source(1.11×109 Bq)The range of output current, the attenuation of X rays through the ...

Monochromatic metrics are generalized Berwald

open access: yes, 2017
We show that monochromatic Finsler metrics, i.e., Finsler metrics such that each two tangent spaces are isomorphic as normed spaces, are generalized Berwald metrics, i.e., there exists an affine connection, possibly with torsion, that preserves the ...

A Surface‐engineered Microfluidic Device for Antibody‐Mediated Negative Selection of High‐Quality Sperm for Assisted Reproduction

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
This study reports a microfluidic device with a functionalized surface utilizing a polyoxazoline coating and covalently immobilized gold nanoparticles and anti‐phosphatidylserine antibody. The device efficiently eliminates pre‐apoptotic and apoptotic spermatozoa and yields sperm with substantially improved quality and low DNA damage, offering a simple ...

Intermediate Resistive State in Wafer‐Scale Vertical MoS2 Memristors Through Lateral Silver Filament Growth for Artificial Synapse Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

Search for Gamma-Ray Lines towards Galaxy Clusters with the Fermi-LAT

open access: yes, 2016
We report on a search for monochromatic $\gamma$-ray features in the spectra of galaxy clusters observed by the \emph{Fermi} Large Area Telescope. Galaxy clusters are the largest structures in the Universe that are bound by dark matter (DM), making them ...

Partitioning Random Graphs into Monochromatic Components [PDF]

open access: yesElectronic Journal of Combinatorics, 2015
Erdős, Gyarfas, and Pyber (1991) conjectured that every $r$-colored complete graph can be partitioned into at most $r-1$ monochromatic components; this is a strengthening of a conjecture of Lovasz (1975) in which the components are only required to form ...

A New Threshold Switching Device With Tunable Negative Differential Resistance Based on ErMnO3 Polymorphs

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, Volume 36, Issue 44, 1 June 2026.
Polymorph engineering in ErMnO3 enables low‐voltage, forming‐free threshold switching with tunable negative differential resistance. Conducting orthorhombic regions embedded in an insulating hexagonal matrix provide controlled Joule‐heating‐enhanced Poole–Frenkel transport. The hexagonal phase prevents excessive heating and breakdown.

The Role of Ultra‐Thin Buffer Layers for Achieving Ultra‐Low Dark Currents in Single‐Component Organic Photodetectors

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
Here, SubNc single‐component organic photodiodes (SC‐OPDs) are investigated, which achieve highly competitive performance metrics, including high EQE, ultra‐low JD, and high specific detectivity (D*). This study emphasizes the critical role of an organic buffer layer in studying the interface energetics and effects to achieve state‐of‐the‐art ...

Time dependence of evanescent quantum waves

open access: yes, 2000
The time dependence of quantum evanescent waves generated by a point source with an infinite or a limited frequency band is analyzed. The evanescent wave is characterized by a forerunner (transient) related to the precise way the source is switched on ...

Decompositions of edge-colored infinite complete graphs into monochromatic paths [PDF]

open access: yesDiscrete Mathematics, 2015
An $r$-edge coloring of a graph or hypergraph $G=(V,E)$ is a map $c:E\to \{0, \dots, r-1\}$. Extending results of Rado and answering questions of Rado, Gy\'arf\'as and S\'ark\"ozy we prove that (1.) the vertex set of every $r$-edge colored countably ...
