Electronic transport, field effect and doping in pentacene nanorods and monolayer thin film prepared by combination of nano-fabrication and self-assembly [PDF]
The transport in organic semiconductors is investigated on the nanometer scale. Field effect transistor with device-active layers in the monolayer (ML) range are characterized in-situ right after the controlled deposition of pentacene.

Edible electronics needs integrated logic circuits for computation and control. This work presents a potentially edible printed chitosan‐gated transistor with a design optimized for integration in circuits. Its implementation in integrated logic gates and circuits operating at low voltage (0.7 V) is demonstrated, as well as the compatibility with an ...

In MOCVD MoS2 memristors, a current compliance‐regulated Ag filament mechanism is revealed. The filament ruptures spontaneously during volatile switching, while subsequent growth proceeds vertically through the MoS2 layers and then laterally along the van der Waals gaps during nonvolatile switching.

In situ Auger Electron Spectroscopy resolves oxidation states with high fidelity during the pulsed laser deposition of multivalent perovskite manganate and vanadate heterostructures. The chemical‐state signature is carried by the valence‐electron population of the transition‐metal cation, read out through the relative intensities of Auger fine ...

Planar waveguides can be written with a UV-laser into photosensitised silica to produce a wide range of optical devices. Careful modulation of two interfering beams allows Bragg gratings to be directly written into the channel.

Band inversion and topological aspects in a TiNI monolayer
To achieve a device application of the quantum spin Hall (QSH) effect, increasing the critical temperature is crucial. A two-dimensional topological insulator (2D-TI) with a sizeable bulk band gap is one of the most promising strategies to reach this ...

Optical Signature of Moiré Superlattices Formed by Twisted SrTiO3 Membranes
We discover optical signatures from bonded interfaces in twisted SrTiO3 moiré superlattices, including low‐frequency Raman vibrational modes and strong second‐harmonic generation, consistent with strong interlayer coupling inferred from cross‐sectional electron microscopy and ab initio calculations. ABSTRACT Moiré superlattices formed at the interfaces

Performance evaluation of monolayer hafnium nitride coated tool for cutting
Hafnium nitride monolayer coatings were deposited as thin films on high-speed steel by magnetron sputtering physical vapor deposition. Uncoated high-speed steels ASSAB 17 were used as reference systems, for machining on AISI1020 steel by chip removal ...

Experimental and modelling investigation of monolayer development with clustering [PDF]
Standard differential equation-based models of collective cell behaviour, such as the logistic growth model, invoke a mean-field assumption which is equivalent to assuming that individuals within the population interact with each other in proportion to ...
