The monomer-monomer model revisited

Surface Science, 1995
Abstract The monomer-monomer model for surface reactions has been investigated by means of Monte Carlo simulations performed for different kinetic regimes. The poisoning time and the width of the “chaos window” has been specified in terms of the control rate constant and the lattice size.

Kinetics of monomer-monomer surface catalytic reactions

Physical Review A, 1992
We study the kinetics of an irreversible monomer-monomer model of heterogeneous catalysis. In this model, two reactive species, A and B, adsorb and stick to single sites of a catalytic substrate. Surface reactions are assumed to occur only between dissimilar species that are nearest neighbors on the substrate. The kinetics of the process are studied in

SURFACE EXPLOSION IN AUTOCATALYTIC MONOMER-MONOMER REACTIONS

Fractals, 1996
A lattice model of the A-B type has been introduced recently to describe temporal oscillations and pattern formation for the NO-CO reaction catalyzed by a Pt surface. Under certain experimental conditions one observes the rapid reactional removal of an adsorbed layer upon nucleation — a direct consequence of the autocatalytic nature of the reaction ...

Direct Force Measurements of Insulin Monomer−Monomer Interactions

Biochemistry, 1998
Direct measurement of the forces involved in protein-protein and protein-receptor interactions can, in principle, provide insight necessary for the advancement of structural biology, molecular biology, and the development of therapeutic proteins. The protein insulin is illustrative in this respect as the mechanisms of insulin dimer dissociation and ...

Complexation Features of N-Vinylsuccinimide in Monomer–Solvent and Monomer–Monomer Systems

Polymer Science, Series D, 2020
The results of investigations of the complexation of N-vinylsuccinimide (VSI) in monomer–solvent and monomer–monomer systems and the effect of these processes on the kinetics of copolymerization of VSI with monometers of differing reactivity are summarized. Conditions for the synthesis of compositionally homogeneous copolymers were established.

Crystalline Dimethacrylate Monomers

Journal of Dental Research, 1970
Certain dimethacrylate monomers can be prepared and purified by recrystallization. On mixing, the crystals liquefy by forming a ternary eutectic. The colorless oily liquid is suitable for use in composite formulations.
