Differences in S/G ratio in natural poplar variants do not predict catalytic depolymerization monomer yields

open access: yesNature Communications, 2019
The ratio of syringyl (S) and guaiacyl (G) units in lignin has been regarded as a major factor in determining the maximum monomer yield from lignin depolymerization.

Methacrylate Ester Monomers

International Journal of Toxicology, 2023
The Expert Panel for Cosmetic Ingredient Safety reviewed newly available studies since their original assessment in 2005, along with updated information regarding product types and concentrations of use, and confirmed that these 22 methacrylate ester monomers are safe as used in nail enhancement products in the practices of use and concentration as ...

Generalized monomer-monomer model for catalysis

Physical Review E, 1995
We consider a Langmuir-Hinshelwood reaction on a catalytic surface with two monomer reactants, A and B whose reaction product leaves the surface: A+B\ensuremath{\rightarrow}0. We allow different adsorption and desorption rates for the two reactants. When adsorption and reaction are fast events compared to desorption (and in the absence of diffusion ...

The monomer-monomer model revisited

Surface Science, 1995
Abstract The monomer-monomer model for surface reactions has been investigated by means of Monte Carlo simulations performed for different kinetic regimes. The poisoning time and the width of the “chaos window” has been specified in terms of the control rate constant and the lattice size.

Stereosequenced crystalline polyhydroxyalkanoates from diastereomeric monomer mixtures

Science, 2019
Toward less brittle degradable plastic Bacteria produce a class of polyesters, termed polyhydroxyalkanoates, that are particularly appealing on account of how easily they undergo biodegradation.

Kinetics of monomer-monomer surface catalytic reactions

Physical Review A, 1992
We study the kinetics of an irreversible monomer-monomer model of heterogeneous catalysis. In this model, two reactive species, A and B, adsorb and stick to single sites of a catalytic substrate. Surface reactions are assumed to occur only between dissimilar species that are nearest neighbors on the substrate. The kinetics of the process are studied in
