Experimental and Finite Element-Based Investigation on Lateral Behaviors of a Novel Hybrid Monopile
A monopile is the most conventional structure foundation for offshore wind turbines (OWTs) in the world. However, the Korean offshore wind industry has mostly been using the jacket type of foundation. The main reason for the current situation in Korea is

The turbulent wake of a monopile foundation [PDF]
Abstract An experimental programme is presented, examining the turbulent wake of a monopile foundation in a current. Velocity was recorded across an extensive domain downstream of a model monopile in a 0.5 m deep basin, using an acoustic Doppler velocimeter array. The distribution of turbulent kinetic energy (TKE) is examined across the entire domain.

Wave Flume Simulation Experiment on Influence of Wave Load on Bearing Capacity of Monopile
For the foundation of the monopile in the shallow water environment,a scale model of sand-monopile-wave was adopted in the wave flume simulation experiment, and the static load test of the monopile under wave action was explored.

Tsunami-induced scour around monopile foundations [PDF]
Abstract A fully-coupled (hydrodynamic and morphologic) numerical model is presented, and utilized for the simulation of tsunami-induced scour around a monopile structure, representative of those commonly utilized as offshore wind turbine foundations at moderate depths i.e. for depths less than 30 m.
