Olfactory‐Related Quality of Life After Endoscopic Transsphenoidal Surgery

open access: yesLaryngoscope Investigative Otolaryngology, Volume 11, Issue 4, August 2026.
The QOD‐LQ, QOD‐VAS, and the “decreased sense of smell” item of the SNOT‐22, reflecting olfactory‐related quality of life (QOL) and subjective olfactory dysfunction, significantly deteriorated after EETSA in a substantial proportion of patients, even though psychophysical olfactory function was preserved.

Routine circumferential patellar denervation during total knee arthroplasty did not consistently eliminate neural structures at the lateral patellar border: A prospective randomised controlled trial with histological outcomes

open access: yesJournal of Experimental Orthopaedics, Volume 13, Issue 3, July 2026.
Abstract Purpose Circumferential patellar denervation is widely performed during total knee arthroplasty under the assumption that electrocautery ablates nociceptive neural structures at the lateral patellar border. However, the microscopic effect of this procedure on neural substrates remains poorly defined.

NQO1‐Mediated Anoikis Resistance and Immune Evasion Define a High‐Risk Multi‐Omic Subtype for Precision Management of T1 High‐Grade Bladder Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, Volume 13, Issue 36, 29 June 2026.
Multi‐omic profiling of T1 high‐grade bladder cancer identifies a high‐risk subtype (T1HG1) driven by NQO1, which couples anoikis resistance with immune evasion. NQO1 orchestrates macrophage–T cell crosstalk suppression via CXCL9 modulation. Pharmacological NQO1 inhibition with skullcapflavone II enhances cisplatin efficacy, representing a promising ...

Skin Boosters: 2026 Updated

open access: yesJournal of Cosmetic Dermatology, Volume 25, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Skin boosters are increasingly used to improve dermal quality through injectable and device‐assisted approaches; however, definitions and clinical evidence remain heterogeneous. Aims To provide an updated overview and propose a practical classification of skin boosters, including mechanisms, delivery methods, clinical outcomes, and limitations.

Monopolar electrocautery causes pelvic neurovascular injury: a histological and stereological study in rabbits

open access: yesFolia Morphologica
BACKGROUND: Electrosurgical devices are widely used in penile surgery for hemostasis and tissue dissection. However, the neurovascular risks associated with monopolar electrocautery, particularly in the context of pelvic innervation and vascular supply ...

Feasibility and Short‐Term Outcomes of an endoCUT‐Based Non‐Ligation Cervical Conization Strategy: A Single‐Center Retrospective Study

open access: yesJournal of Obstetrics and Gynaecology Research, Volume 52, Issue 6, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim To evaluate perioperative safety and pathological specimen quality in an endoCUT‐based non‐ligation cervical conization strategy. Methods We retrospectively reviewed consecutive patients who underwent cervical conization for suspected or confirmed cervical intraepithelial neoplasia (CIN) or adenocarcinoma in situ (AIS) at Kawasaki ...

Transoral Robotic Lingual Tonsillectomy for Pediatric Obstructive Sleep Apnea

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 5, Page 2332-2339, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Our objective was to investigate the safety and efficacy of transoral robotic surgery (TORS) lingual tonsillectomy (LT) with and without epiglottopexy and to compare it with non‐robotic approaches for children with obstructive sleep apnea (OSA).

Laparoscopic Enucleation of Benign Pancreatic Tumors

open access: yesNotulae Scientia Biologicae, 2016
Benign pancreatic tumor enucleations have been performed since 1996. Endocrine tumors (ET) are rare yet they represent about 2/3 of the laparoscopic enucleations, a topic still in debate.

A Scoping Review of Recurrent Post‐Tonsillectomy Hemorrhage in Children

open access: yesThe Laryngoscope, Volume 136, Issue 5, Page 2026-2033, May 2026.
The goal of this scoping review was to analyze the incidence and risk factors for recurrent peritonsillar hemorrhage (PTH), and to map existing evidence to identify knowledge gaps. CINAHL, Cochrane Library, Embase, Google Scholar, and Ovid Medline were searched.

Predicting Respiratory Complications for Day Case Paediatric Adenotonsillectomy

open access: yesANZ Journal of Surgery, Volume 96, Issue 5, Page 1140-1147, May 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives To assess the effectiveness of a pre‐operative triaging model for paediatric adenotonsillectomy in identifying risk of early post‐operative respiratory complications, in order to propose an evidence‐based triaging model for day‐case paediatric adenotonsillectomy.
