Multimagnetic monopoles [PDF]

open access: yesThe European Physical Journal C, 2021
AbstractIn this work we investigate the presence of magnetic monopoles that engender multimagnetic structures, which arise from an appropriate extension of the $$\mathrm{SU(2)}$$ SU ( 2 ) gauge group.

JNR monopoles

open access: yesThe Quarterly Journal of Mathematics, 2021
AbstractWe review the theory of JNR, mass $\frac{1}{2}$ hyperbolic monopoles in particular their spectral curves and rational maps. These are used to establish conditions for a spectral curve to be the spectral curve of a JNR monopole and to show that the rational map of a JNR monopole arises by scattering using results of Atiyah.

TACHYON MONOPOLE [PDF]

open access: yesInternational Journal of Modern Physics A, 2005
The property and gravitational field of global monopole of tachyon are investigated in a four-dimensional static space–time. We give an exact solution of the tachyon field in the flat space–time background. Using the linearized approximation of gravity, we get the approximate solution of the metric.

Magnetic ordering and its influence on X‐ray spectroscopies

open access: yesMajor Reference Works, Page 163-168., 2023
International Tables for Crystallography is the definitive resource and reference work for crystallography and structural science.

Each of the eight volumes in the series contains articles and tables of data relevant to crystallographic research and to applications of crystallographic methods in all sciences concerned with the ...

Monopole Skyrmions [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Mathematical Physics, 2000
A systematic numerical study of the classical solutions to the combined system consisting of the Georgi–Glashow model and the SO(3) gauged Skyrme model is presented. The gauging of the Skyrme system permits a lower bound on the energy, so that the solutions of the composite system can be topologically stable. The solutions feature some very interesting

Symmetric monopoles [PDF]

open access: yesNonlinearity, 1995
We discuss $SU(2)$ Bogomolny monopoles of arbitrary charge $k$ invariant under various symmetry groups. The analysis is largely in terms of the spectral curves, the rational maps, and the Nahm equations associated with monopoles. We consider monopoles invariant under inversion in a plane, monopoles with cyclic symmetry, and monopoles having the ...

Non-Abelian monopoles [PDF]

open access: yesNuclear Physics B, 2004
We study topological as well as dynamical properties of BPS nonabelian magnetic monopoles of Goddard-Nuyts-Olive-Weinberg type in $ G=SU(N)$, $USp(2N)$ and SO(N) gauge theories, spontaneously broken to nonabelian subgroups $H$. We find that monopoles transform under the group dual to $H$ in a tensor representation of rank determined by the ...

Quaternionic monopoles [PDF]

open access: yesCommunications in Mathematical Physics, 1996
We present the simplest non-abelian version of Seiberg-Witten theory: Quaternionic monopoles. These monopoles are associated with Spin^h(4)-structures on 4-manifolds and form finite-dimensional moduli spaces. On a Kahler surface the quaternionic monopole equations decouple and lead to the projective vortex equation for holomorphic pairs.

Noncommutative monopole from nonlinear monopole [PDF]

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2000
We solve the non-linear monopole equation of the Born-Infeld theory to all orders in the NS 2-form and give physical implications of the result. The solution is constructed by extending the earlier idea of rotating the brane configuration of the Dirac monopole in the target space.
