Metasurfaces and Metadevices for Topological Electromagnetic Waves
Optical topologies refer to diverse topological localized structures made by diverse parameters of light fields, such as vortices, skyrmions, and hopfions. This article navigates a direction of metasurface‐based integrated devices for generation, manipulation and detection of novel topologies of light, which would be a rapidly growing interdisciplinary

Evidence is given that some particles with large charges in gauge theories, including 4d N=4 SU(3) and 5d theories with N=1 supersymmetry, have macroscopic entropy. The ground state entropy is found to be extensive in the charges. The mass gap for excitation is estimated and is of the same order as the binding energy.

This research explores how fluid flow, structural movement, and sound interact in an elastic baffle system. Using a numerical approach based on the finite element method, the study analyzes how noise and vibrations change with different baffle configurations. The findings reveal that shortening the baffle by half reduces noise transmission by 9%, while

Acoustic Pressure Monopole, Velocity Monopole, and Hybrid Monopole
We show that there are two types of acoustic monopoles, namely the pressure monopoles (PMs) and the velocity monopoles (VMs). Under one wave incidence, only the pressure field near a PM at resonance possesses monopolar symmetry, while for a VM at resonance only the velocity field possesses monopolar symmetry.

Local Polynomial Regression and Filtering for a Versatile Mesh‐Free PDE Solver
A high‐order, mesh‐free finite difference method for solving differential equations is presented. Both derivative approximation and scheme stabilisation is carried out by parametric or non‐parametric local polynomial regression, making the resulting numerical method accurate, simple and versatile. Numerous numerical benchmark tests are investigated for
