Abstract Natural killer (NK) cell neoplasms span indolent to highly aggressive entities, and flow cytometric immunophenotyping is central to their detection and classification. However, distinguishing reactive from neoplastic NK cell expansions can be challenging because NK cells lack somatically recombined antigen receptors, and reactive states may ...

This study proposes an eco‐friendly coal permeability enhancement technique by utilizing mine waste gangue as an abrasive in high‐pressure water jets. Integrating erosion experiments with smoothed particle hydrodynamics‐finite element method coupled simulations, the research study elucidates the flow field dynamics and a nonlinear solid–liquid ...

Different demographic drivers of recovery in two adjacent populations of a long‐lived bird of prey
Understanding the demographic mechanisms underlying population decline or recovery is critical for conservation and management, yet similar population trends may arise from very different underlying processes. Comparing populations of vulnerable species groups like long‐lived raptors in different environments can reveal how species respond to change ...

Random restrictions of high-rank tensors and polynomial maps
Random restrictions of high-rank tensors and polynomial maps, Discrete Analysis 2024:9, 24 pp. Let $A$ be an $n\times n$ matrix of rank $r$. The following argument shows that if we randomly restrict $A$ by picking each row and each column independently ...

On the succinctness of query rewriting over shallow ontologies [PDF]
We investigate the succinctness problem for conjunctive query rewritings over OWL2QL ontologies of depth 1 and 2 by means of hypergraph programs computing Boolean functions. Both positive and negative results are obtained.

Lower Bounds for Monotone q-Multilinear Boolean Circuits
A monotone Boolean circuit is composed of OR gates, AND gates and input gates corresponding to the input variables and the Boolean constants. It is multilinear if for any AND gate the two input functions have no variable in common.

Hierarchies of Local Monotonicities and Lattice Derivatives for Boolean and Pseudo-Boolean Functions [PDF]
In this paper we report recent results in [1] concerning local versions of monotonicity for Boolean and pseudo-Boolean functions: say that a pseudo-Boolean (Boolean) function is p -locally monotone if each of its partial derivatives keeps the same sign on tuples which differ on less than p positions.
