Existence theorems of solutions for a kind of quasi-variational inequalities with monotone type multivalued mapping [PDF]

open access: yesComputers and Mathematics With Applications, 1999
In this paper, two existence theorems of solutions for a kind of quasi-variational inequalities with monotone type multivalued mapping are ...

Variational inequalities of perturbed maximal monotone mapping with applications [PDF]

open access: yesApplied Mathematics Letters, 1996
In this paper, we obtain some existence theorems of the variational inequalities associated to the perturbed maximal monotone mapping and discuss several surjectivity results for perturbed maximal monotone ...

Convergence and stability of Fibonacci-Mann iteration for a monotone non-Lipschitzian mapping [PDF]

open access: yesDemonstratio Mathematica, 2019
In this paper, we prove strong convergence and Δ−convergence of Fibonacci-Mann iteration for a monotone non-Lipschitzian mapping (i.e. nearly asymptotically nonexpansive mapping) in partially ordered hyperbolic metric space.

Generalized Monotone Affine Maps

SIAM Journal on Matrix Analysis and Applications, 1996
Summary: We derive new necessary and sufficient conditions for an affine map to be quasimonotone on a convex set.

Variational composition of a monotone operator and a linear mapping with applications to elliptic PDEs with singular coefficients [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Functional Analysis, 2003
This paper proposes a regularized notion of a composition of a monotone operator with a linear mapping. This new concept, called variational composition, can be shown to be maximal monotone in many cases where the usual composition is not.

Monotone Maps on Dendrites

The interdisciplinary journal of Discontinuity, Nonlinearity, and Complexity, 2020
Summary: Let \(X\) be a dendrite, \(f : X \to X\) be a monotone map. In the article the relationship between a structure of a dendrite \(X\) and dynamical properties of \(f\) is studied. Namely the relation between a structure of \(X\) and a structure of the sets of periodic points of \(f\), non-wandering points of \(f\), \(\omega\)-limit sets of ...

Matching by Monotonic Tone Mapping

IEEE Transactions on Pattern Analysis and Machine Intelligence, 2018
In this paper, a novel dissimilarity measure called Matching by Monotonic Tone Mapping (MMTM) is proposed. The MMTM technique allows matching under non-linear monotonic tone mappings and can be computed efficiently when the tone mappings are approximated by piecewise constant or piecewise linear functions.

On Monotone Maps: Semidifferentiable Case

2019
In this paper, we define the concepts of monotonicity and generalized monotonicity for semidifferentiable maps. Further, we present the characterizations of convexity and generalized convexity in case of semidifferentiable functions. These results rely on general mean-value theorem for semidifferentiable functions (J Glob Optim 40:503–508, 2010).
