Some properties of the k-Gamma function
We give completely monotonicity properties and inequalities for functions involving the Γ_k functions and their logarithmic derivatives ψ_k functions.

Weibull-Fréchet distribution: A new lifetime distribution with application to gastric cancer data [PDF]
Lifetime data is a type of data that consists of waiting time until an event occurs. Some of the events of lifetime data are deaths, occurrence of a disease, or failure of a machine. The distribution usually used for modeling lifetime data is the Weibull

Monotonicity properties of the gamma function
AbstractLet Gc(x)=logΓ(x)−xlogx+x−12log(2π)+12ψ(x+c)(x>0;c≥0). We prove that Ga is completely monotonic on (0,∞) if and only if a≥1/3. Also, −Gb is completely monotonic on (0,∞) if and only if b=0. An application of this result reveals that the best possible nonnegative constants α,β in 2πxxexp(−x−12ψ(x+α))

Realization of conditionally monotone independence and monotone products of completely positive maps [PDF]
The paper gives an operator algebras model for the conditional monotone independence, introduced by T. Hasebe. The construction is used to prove an embedding result for the N. Muraki's monotone product of C*-algebras. Also, the formulas from the definition of conditional monotone independence are used to define the monotone product of maps which is ...

This work establishes a general theory of the current transient of ionic‐electronic transistors under a step of gate voltage. The dominant effect is a transient charging of the channel by diffusion of ions. The additional influence of electrolyte capacitance and resistance splits the fundamental time constant of diffusion into two different components.

Monotone operator functions on $C^*$-algebra [PDF]
The article is devoted to investigation of classes of functions monotone as functions on general $C^*$-algebras that are not necessarily the $C^*$-algebras of all bounded linear operators on a Hilbert space as it is in classical case of matrix and operator monotone functions.

A novel, high tensile modulus, fully aromatic thermotropic liquid crystalline polyimide (LCPI) with better solvent resistance and thermal stability is synthesized. Tensile specimens are fabricated using both injection molding and FFF processes, accomplished via lower viscosity enabled by the LC phase.

Structural properties of limitwise monotonic reducibility of sequences of sets
The paper is devoted to the study of limitwise monotonic sets, as well as to the investigation of the main structural properties of limitwise monotonic reducibility (lm-reducibility) between set and sequence of sets.

On topological groups of monotonic automorphisms
We study topological groups of monotonic automorphisms on a generalized ordered space L. We find a condition that is necessary and sufficient for the set of all monotonic automorphism on L along with the function composition and the topology of point ...

The sum of a maximal monotone operator of type (FPV) and a maximal monotone operator with full domain is maximal monotone [PDF]
The most important open problem in Monotone Operator Theory concerns the maximal monotonicity of the sum of two maximal monotone operators provided that Rockafellar's constraint qualification holds. In this paper, we prove the maximal monotonicity of $A+B$ provided that $A$ and $B$ are maximal monotone operators such that $\dom A\cap\inte\dom B\neq ...
