Implications Generated by Triples of Monotone Functions
2013In this paper we deal with fuzzy implications generated via triples of monotone functions f,g,h. This idea has been presented for the first time at the IPMU 2012 conference, where we have introduced the generating formula and studied some special cases of these fuzzy implications. In our contribution we further develop this concept and study properties

Generalized absolutely monotone functions
Israel Journal of Mathematics, 1965Sufficient conditions for generalized absolutely monotone functions to possess a Taylor-type expansion in terms of the corresponding Extended Tchebycheff systems were found by Karlin and Ziegler. The question of necessary conditions, however, was left open.

A general purpose fuzzy controller for monotone functions
IEEE Transactions on Systems, Man, and Cybernetics, Part B (Cybernetics), 1996In this work, a general purpose fuzzy controller is proposed to handle the class of monotonic functions. A set of rules on the selection of fuzzy subsets and decision tables based on the mean-of-inversion (MOI) defuzzification method for guaranteed convergence and accuracy is given and proved.

Generalized Quantum Hellinger Divergences Generated by Monotone Functions
Open Systems & Information DynamicsIn this paper we investigate quantum Hellinger type divergences which were studied by Bhatia-Gaubert-Jain (2019), Pitrik-Virosztek (2020), and Dinh-Lie-Osaka-Phan (2025). In particular, when [Formula: see text] is a convex function defined by the form [Formula: see text] ([Formula: see text]) and [Formula: see text] is an operator monotone function ...

Generalized Theorems for the Monotonicity Theorem of Functions
2011Derivative is highly important part of both elementary and higher mathematics, and is one of the most significant tools to research the properties of functions. Generally speaking, we often make use of the monotonicity of functions to prove some inequalities.
