Advances in Gallium Oxide: Properties, Applications, and Future Prospects

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This review discusses the properties and fabrication methodologies of gallium oxide. The discussion revolved around papers that are recently published and provided an overview of the current research status on gallium oxide. The discussion focused on defects, doping, and the performance of the fabricated photodetectors, as reported in the literature ...

Tuning the Magnetism in Ultrathin CrxTey Films by Lattice Dimensionality

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
By a joint study combining phase‐controlled molecular beam epitaxy, magnetization, magneto‐transport measurements, spin‐polarized scanning tunneling microscopy, and density functional theory calculations, the authors elucidate how the macroscopic magnetic properties of ultrathin CrTe2 and Cr3Te4 films are tuned by the dimensionality of exchange ...

Edge of Chaos Theory Unveils the First and Simplest Ever Reported Hodgkin–Huxley Neuristor

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This manuscript presents the first and simplest ever‐reported electrical cell, which leverages one memristor on Edge of Chaos to reproduce the three‐bifurcation cascade, marking the entire life cycle from birth to extinction via All‐to‐None effect of an electrical spike, also referred to as Action Potential, across axon membranes under monotonic ...

Improved Magnetoresistance of Tungsten Telluride and Silver Telluride Composites

open access: yesAdvanced Electronic Materials, EarlyView.
This study focuses on the composite magnetoresistive materials of tungsten telluride (WTe₂) and silver telluride (Ag₂Te). Bulk composites are prepared by using different contents of the second phase. Adding 10% silver telluride can enhance the magnetoresistance performance, reduce magnetic field and increase onset temperature.
