Acta Ophthalmologica, 1992Abstract Birdshot retinochoroidopathy is a rare ocular disorder which was named and delineated as a separate clinical entity by Ryan & Maumenee in 1980. We diagnosed birdshot retinochoroidopathy in a monozygotic pair of twins, who were affected with a time interval of 12 years, respectively.

American Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology, 1972Abstract A monozygotic identical twin pair with the 45,XO Turner syndrome is reported. The twins were phenotypically identical, a surprisingly unusual occurrence among monozygotic twins with the Turner syndrome. Monozygotic twinning is apparently the most common form of twinning among reported patients with the Turner syndrome.

Only two monozygotic twin pairs concordant for it have been reported. However, both pairs were atypical because of an early age at onset and other unusual features.

The Journal of Pediatrics, 1965Congenital abnormalities are more often seen in monozygotic twins, especially with a monochorionic placenta, than in dizygotic twins. Although abnormalities are more frequently concordant in monozygotic than in dizygotic twins, discordance for the abnormalities among the former is strikingly frequent.

Childhood dermatomyositis in monozygotic twins
Neurology, 1986Identical twins who developed childhood dermatomyositis 2 weeks apart following upper respiratory infections are reported. Observations suggest that genetic influence on host susceptibility may play a role in childhood dermatomyositis and that a combination of host and environmental factors is most likely necessary to produce the disease.
