Dataflow architectures tolerate long unpredictable communication delays and support generation and coordination of parallel activities directly in hardware, rather than assuming that program mapping will cause these issues to disappear. However, the proposed mechanisms are complex and introduce new mapping complications.

The evolution of the Asian monsoon started at around 9.5 Ma, in response to the uplift of the Himalayas. The monsoonal intensity reached its maximum at around 5 Ma, and from that time the associated easterly trade winds caused intense upwelling in the equatorial Pacific.

How interventions to mitigate climate-caused poverty and inequality in India came at a cost to environmental sustainability. In the monsoon regions of South Asia, the rainy season sustains life but brings with it the threat of floods, followed by a long stretch of the year when little gainful work is possible and the threat of famine ...

Some aspects of the monsoon circulation and monsoon rainfall
pure and applied geophysics, 1977The south Asian summer monsoon from June to September accounts for the greater part of the annual rainfall over most of India and southeast Asia. The evolution of the summer and winter monsoon circulations over India is examined on the basis of the surface and upper air data of stations across India.
